  • The guy on the right here @drula9 just opened @getwetbkk in Bangkok, Southeast Asia’s first true organic/biodynamic bar a vins, on par with those in Paris, Copenhagen, New York or Tokyo. Together with his partners in crime @gaggan_anand & @rajeshkbkk, he’ll be making new wine history in this fast developing part of the world. He and I travelled together a lot, spoke a lot, tasted a lot, ate a lot....always with Wet as part of the conversation. So, having seen and worked on behind the scenes, I am confident Wet will be shaping palates of one whole continent in the years to come-be it for Vlad’s selection of bottles or Gaggan and @rydoanton89’s menu offerings, @pigatemypizza & @wine.bully1789 on further controls, landing this ship safely where no ship has gone before #getwetbkk

  • All these years later, I am still such a sucker for Burgundy, can’t help it. The drive from Beaune through Nuits St Georges and Vosne-Romanee to end in Chambolle-Musigny. As well as to the other side, through Pommard & Volnay onto Meursault. Include the hidden gems of Saint Aubin and Saint Romain.

  • Is there a better location for the lovely @quinsouparis then across the street from Ferrandi, the school of culinary arts in the 6th arr? Chef Antonin Bonnet still teaches a class or two there...but his base is now in the kitchen of Quinsou, an ex cafe where students and professors used to hang out. Quick lunch there was tasty & fun, paired with an equally beautiful & focused wine list. Another great @telescopecafe recommendation.
