For those who are celebrating lunar new year, happy (belated) new year! For those who are Chinese, happy birthday!
For those who have no idea what I am talking about: - Lunar new year started 7 days ago - Chinese around the world celebrate lunar new year (or sometimes we call in Chinese New Year - CNY)
- CNY elebration last for 15days (but we only have 2 days of Public Holiday in Singapore) - 2019 is the year of pig (every year it will be a different animal in the Chinese Zodiac) - Renri (people' day) is the 7th day of CNY. In Chinese tradition, it is viewed as the common "birthday" of all human beings, so, happy birthday! 😄
Every year during CNY in Singapore, there is the River Hongbao festival - giant lanterns, carnival games, daily fireworks, delicious food, performances etc. The festival ended yesterday, but if you do visit Singapore during CNY period next time, don't forget to pay a visit to the festival (free entrance!).
