Rennes is a city where Street artists express themselves. This piece, by an artist called War!, represents a hermin. This animal, closely related to the ferret, is more known for its winter fur when it's all white with just the tip of the tail black. Its here in its summer pelt, gingerish brown on the back, white on the stomach. This animal is strongly symbolic in Brittany as it was the "national" emblema back when the duchy was independant from France. War! as an artist executes mostly big pieces representing various animals such as this one, in a very recognisable graphic style. #Rennes#visitrennes#Bretagne#hautebretagne#France#streetart#hermine#war#21stcentury#painting#mural#winterlight
Pressure, pressure, pressure!! We put so much pressure on ourselves to fit everything in, to be a good parent, friend, child, sibling, to work hard, to keep our home clean, to keep on top of admin, to put a brave face on it, to exercise, to eat well, to keep to deadlines, to be on time.... OMG!
No wonder we feel stressed!!! Sometimes I need to take a step back and re-evaluate - what is most important in my life and what are my priorities?
What do my children and family need from me? Are they happy, healthy and well supported?
Does the stuff I’m putting myself under pressure about have any impact on my life goals? What do I want most from my life?
What are my values, what is important to me? Am I staying true to these or am I going against them?
What is my gut or intuition saying? Does this feel like the right thing for me?
Does this really matter?! I give myself permission to ease the pressure, to stay true to myself and not to run myself ragged! To do my best and know that is good enough. To do nothing, to leave the housework. To sit on my arse, with my feet up and feel no guilt!
