  • “Are you guys spending the night up there? 😲 it’s going to be cold” - nearly every person on the Peralta Trail to me & @allysondorsey as we carried giant backpacks and a tent. Trading a bit of comfort for morning views like this is always worth it 🏜🏕🌵

  • I already miss the snow. It’s so peaceful and quiet outside during a snowy evening.
There is not much I would rather do after spending all day out in the snow than sit by the fire with a hot chocolate listening to some nice mellow music.

  • Had an epic trip out to the Oregon Coast yesterday with my good friend Caleb. @caleb.jacobson We left Portland around 5 to arrive before sunrise. After sunrise we spent all day shooting light rays, coastal cliffs, surfers and forests. We then headed back to our favorite spot for sunset. All I can say is that we live in a spectacular state. #52weeksofnature

  • Happy Valentines Day- It’s crazy how perfect the heart turned out in this photo. The only photo editing that was done was mirroring the photo and some color correction. #seeyououtthere #52weeksofnature

  • Last weekend, my buddy Dart, @dartagnanfearon and I hiked up and camped on Mt. Hood. This was no easy trip as it required 3,700ft of climbing over 3 miles. Of course heavy backpacks full of gear didn’t make it any easier. We made it up to our destination after a few hours of climbing, set up camp and waited for the stars to come out. While I enjoyed sunset, my main goal was to capture the night sky. You can see our tiny tent lit up in the bottom of the frame, where we spent the long 14 hour night. The clouds on the horizon appear yellow due to the city lights of Portland in the distance. No photoshop was used in this photo. This is a single exposure, with only minor Lightroom adjustments. Such a rad adventure which I’ll never forget! #52weeksofnature #naturaloregon #omht #backpackermag @hippytree

  • Not your average selfie. First self-portrait in space, taken by Buzz Aldrin @drbuzzaldrin in November, 1966 during the Gemini 12 mission. Three years later, Aldrin and Neil Armstrong became the first people to land and walk on the moon during the Apollo 11 lunar landing mission. #naturephotographycollective #52weeksofnature
