Having a positive mind means taking back control of your mind so that even though it may bring up negative things, you know better and tell it to shut up and f*ck off because we are limitless beings who determine for ourselves what we are capable of ;). Take control of your mind by becoming aware of when you think a negative thought and then replace it with 3 positive thoughts. Brought to you by @dailylawofattraction and the amazing @positive_vibe_tribe

#gratitude for the moon🌖 a lil something I can share with my son, as he is an ocean away. Grateful to see another nite to gaze at the beauty of la luna & the stars⭐ My 2019 will be filled with #Gratitude & #SelfLOVE & #Beauty
Alguma coisa diferente aconteceu. #gratitude#positividades

I used to do this and I see so much of this on my practice. I used to live by the scale and play this silly game with myself. If I liked the number, I would be social, happy and it even affected my personality. If I didn’t like the number, I would cancel plans with friends and put things off. I even remember putting off a doctors appointment because I didn’t want her to see how much I weighed. I am so thankful, these times are gone! I silenced the voice in my head (my ego) and threw away the scale years ago and started practicing self love no matter what size or number on the scale I am. It’s time you do the same! You are not going to reach your goals by hating yourself and your body. We only get one chance - so start living! #Healthy_LifewaysMantra
There was a time when I dreaded Monday’s. Sometimes the dread would creep in as early as Sunday afternoon.
Today? I love Monday’s.
Seriously. I do.
It might be my favorite day of the week. (Granted, I still am a big fan of Friday’s, Saturday’s and Sunday’s.) Maybe it’s a thing when you like and are excited about the work you are doing. Maybe it’s a combo of daily gratitude and positive thinking that helps you recognize no day should be dreaded, but rather celebrated.
And, celebrate we should. Monday is like a mini New Year’s every few days. A fresh start. A day to make things happen!
If Monday’s aren’t your jam- I get it. I have been there. Try taking a minute this morning- no matter how chaotic your day is and 1. Be grateful for the day and what you have. 2. Prioritize your week and think of a few things you are excited to do. And, 3. Spread the love- compliment someone, pay for their coffee, make them feel good… it’s hard to be down when you know that you have just made someone else’s day.
Any other Monday fan’s out there? Tell me how you make Monday’s- even freezing cold Monday’s- great!
Matcha nice cream for breakfast🌱 probably the best I've had so far. It's vegan, dairy-free, cruelty-free, low in fat and oh so so creamy😋 plus, it's only 3 ingredients:
3 frozen bananas (peeled), 2 dates and 1tbsp matcha powder!
Be of service. Whether you make yourself available to a friend or co-worker, or you make time every month to do volunteer work, there is nothing that harvests more of a feeling of empowerment than being of service to someone in need.
Three keys to more abundant living: caring about others, daring for others, sharing with others.
Afterall a life lived for others is worth living.
Meet Michael from Basildon, who we have been able to help support through practical support over the years.
Michael had a difficult home life, growing up in London and went to live with his grandparents when he was 15 years old. Due to his speech difficulties, Michael went to a school for children with additional needs. After he left school he says he got into the wrong crowd - they persuaded him to shoplift and he got arrested.
Michael says: “I’m easily manipulated and people can take advantage of that.” Michael moved to Basildon about twenty years ago and started attending our church in the local community. He says he’s always been interested in faith and wanted to be part of the church. He is now a senior soldier.
While he has been able to hold down jobs and tenancies, he has had periods when he has needed support because of low income.
Michael says: “When I’m struggling, The Salvation Army has helped me with food parcels. They’ve also helped me get furniture when I moved into a flat that didn’t have anything. They helped me get a bed and sort the carpets.” Michael attends our local church for Sunday worship and he also goes to the lunch club on a Wednesday.
