It's something I've been passionate about for a really long time, but haven't been vocal enough about, and really need to be. The fashion industry is one of the biggest polluters in our very delicate world right now and there are so many things we can do and need to do, to change it. I'm making an effort to not be silent about this, make it central to how I present myself, as it's something I feel very strongly about. What do you do to help our planet? I just did a Facebook live in one of my upline groups talking about Palo Santo and why everyone needs some in their life.
And did you know, Palo Santo comes from the same botanical family as Frankincense?! True story.
So me being me, I compared Palo Santo to Frankincense with a little hip hop reference. “Palo Santo is the HYPE MAN for Frankincense.” Frank and P. Santo coming to the stage....
Frankincense has that smooth, gentle aroma, where Palo Santo is more loud and in your face. Think Biggie Smalls and Puff Daddy. We all knew and loved the raw bars spit by Notorious B.I.G., but we also benefitted from the antics of Puff Daddy hyping him up. Both forms of entertainment made you feel great in different ways. Do you follow? If not it’s okay, my 90s people are gonna get it. 😂
Anyway, when I first smelled Palo Santo it was so intense and I just wasn’t ready. I wanted it to sit down somewhere (like I feel about hype men very often 😂) and it did. It sat right on my oil shelf, just basking in its own glory...overlooked and under appreciated.
This Palo Santo Challenge (shout out to @groundedgreenpeach ) helped me open up and explore the many benefits of
P. Santo. It’s composed of 45-80% of Limonene...that in itself demands respect! 🎤
(If you don’t know why that’s awesome, google the benefits of limonene and be ready to be 🤯)
