  • “Anna trying Viparitakarani ” #yoga @finestfitness_offenbach immer Samstag 11:30, Dienstag 18:00. The last post was about Sarvangasana and how Viparitakarani works as reasonable alternative. The tricky part is to find the perfect balance so that it is as effortless as Sarvangasana. I keep reminding my students that should feel in any asana (nearly) as relaxed as on Savasana. The natural tendency while learning something new is using too many muscles and energy. The Yoga practice allows gradually minimise the muscles necessary to hold an asana. That makes the practice of Yoga postures so attractive for sports like #tenis #rowing #kayaking #cycling etc. Yoga helps to optimise use of energy, maximising performance. To achieve that is essential to proceed slowly and reasonable, not challenging yourself. Learning, training in intelligent way, always relaxed and observing, feeling the body.  Since the massive popularisation of Yoga along with unfortunate trivialisation and often irresponsibility there are positive developments. Already B.K.S. Iyengar himself realised that the strict rigid attitude cannot work for many individuals and modifications are necessary. Alternative asanas or using simple devices, objects that can help preventing injuries. Using folded towel or blanket in Sarvangasana is one example. So the Yoga blocks got introduced. Still the most important tools remain brain 🧠 and common sense, though in youtube era they seem to be going out of fashion . Anyway, in this example we can see how Anna searches for that ideal , perfect balance, finding that sukha.
