I’ve been on an unhealthy path the last few months regarding my body. I’ve developed bad eating habits that have been hard to get control of- sugar, breakfast foods galore ( I’m convinced we need nothing else but breakfast foods 😂)- today marks a shift, where I’ll make small but meaningful changes towards my body. Less intake (of pancakes), more output. More intuitive eating, listening to my body rather than my cravings. More time worshipping this vessel and appreciating it for what it is. 🙌🏼

anyone else’s ideal friday night include doing basically nothing?🙋🏻♀️
lately I’ve been loving self-care friday nights. It’s the best way to decompress from the work week and just spend some quality time alone, doing what makes me happy💫
that could be a combo of any of the following:
↠ cooking a nice meal👩🏻🍳 ⠀
taking my time in the kitchen and making myself dinner is incredibly relaxing (bonus points if wine is involved🍷)
↠ taking a bath🛁 ⠀
I seriously LOVE baths. especially in the winter, there’s no better way to warm up & wind down. I always add epsom salts (allows you to absorb magnesium for relaxation), and a little bit of a CBD bath bomb every once and a while never hurt (this one is by @cbdlivingwater) ⠀
↠ some kind of beauty treatment💆🏻♀️💅🏼 ⠀
getting my nails done, doing a face mask or gua sha facial massage
↠ netflix & chill📺 ⠀
cause sometimes you just want to turn your brain off a little right?
how do you like to spend your friday nights? are you team going out💃🏻 or team staying in🧖🏻♀️?

Today we are participating in #FeelGoodFriday by highlighting one of our amazing clients Ann M. - Please take a minute to read her inspiring story!! We are so proud of you, Ann!! Feel free to show your support in the comments below ⬇️⬇️
“On 13 Aug, 2018 I came to my first Pure Barre class. I didn't know much about it, but had often seen the studio when coming over to Webb Gin. My exercise of choice has always been walking and organized workouts with fast paced instructions never appealed to me. I was really going off the grid when I decided to give barre a try after my son went off to college and I was facing an empty house. After my first class I literally cried because it was the most difficult workout I'd ever done. Thankfully, there were several instructors in class that night who surrounded me with support. For the next four months I really struggled and thought of throwing in the towel many times!” .
“On New Year's Day, I attended class and noticed there was note paper on which to write our New Year's resolution. I decided that day to write, "I will stop being my own worst enemy.'. There began a turning point for me because so often it's our thoughts that influence our experiences and that day I had had enough! Pure Barre is the best thing I didn't quit! Not only do I feel better physically, my clothes fit better and I am stronger mentally! It's a win-win-win!”
I haven’t posted in a while..... This year has not gone the way I thought it would. The kids and I have gotten sick more than usual, I have not been as consistent as I want to be, things have come up, we’ve taken trips, etc.
I know these all sound like excuses and yeah I guess they are, but this year I’ve been trying to listen to my body and be more forgiving.
I used to beat myself up skipping more than one day at the gym. I used to go to the gym when I was sick. I used to get really upset and frustrated when I didn’t see the results as fast as I wanted. I used to be soooo strict with my food.
This year I am making an effort to not only nourish my body but my mind and soul too. So when I take trips I can fully enjoy myself and not have any guilt. I can take a day off when I feel I need rest. I actually skipped the gym yesterday because I was feeling off and went to the minute clinic anyways and found out I had a double ear infection.
So long story short, remember not to only feed your body but also your soul and your mind!
Love yourself, take care of yourself! ❤️ #selflove
Thanks @poshportia for sharing this in the 6 week WhatsApp group with our ladies 🤗💙
Sometimes it’s the small mindset shifts that create the biggest transformations.
Our 6 week program is coming to an end with some incredible life changing results physically and mentally, although the 6 weeks may be coming to an end this is just the beginning 💃😁.
Jumping into the weekend like 🤸🏼♀️⭐! I have a massive tendency to always overthink, overanalyse and overthink again everything I do.
This really comes into its own on Instagram, I am always second guessing my captions, worrying I won't articulate myself correctly and unsure of the photos I post.
I want to do the best I can for you all but sometimes it stops me taking joy in posting and makes me unable to click "share". So I am trying to be a bit more free, a bit more spontaneous and enjoy this community as much as possible!
