When working with letters, it's a helpful practice to be able to do a whole alphabet in one style. It’s great training and helps refine that lettering style to your unique interpretation of it.
Drawing alphabets give you a better understanding for the flow of each letter and the commonalities that each letter shares. As you’ll notice in this alphabet, the common component of each letter is the ‘c shaped’ swirl that starts the first line of each letter.
Although writing alphabets might sound elementary, it's helpful in order to achieve a well rounded understanding of the style.
As a bonus, having the whole alphabet written in any style also serves as a very helpful reference for the future when designing in that specific style. Practice has its benefits!
