  • The tomb of Christopher Columbus, Seville Cathedral. The statues represent his coffin bring varied by the kings of Castile,  Leon, Aragon and Navarre. After his death, in Valladolid, in 1506, Columbus's remains were moved to the Monastery of the Cartuja in Seville, before being moved to Santo Domingo by his son in 1542. After Hispañola was conquered by the French in 1795, Columbus's body was moved to Havana, where they remained until 1898, when they were moved back to Seville, following the Spanish-American War and Cuban independence.
