This #WildlifeWednesday we're taking a look at the fascinating Killer Whale (Orca). Each year, over 100 Killer Whales return to the Bremer Canyon, @westernaustralia from January through April. This region is the only place in Australia where you can regularly encounter Killer Whales in the wild!
This experience is a must for all birding enthusiasts!
The team at @wildbushluxury have constructed secret wildlife viewing areas at #Arkaba , offering guests an intimate viewing experience, without bothering the wildlife. 📹 @ecologistwithacamera (via IG)

We like to imagine that this was just a friendly game of tag between a completely satisfied lioness and her new friend, the baby springbok but something deep down tells us otherwise.
Amazing game viewing and incredible moment captured by @_miss_leigh_ who travelled with us just recently.
Today is World Pangolin Day and the perfect platform to highlight the plight of the world's most trafficked animal. Thanks to the hard work by organisations such as @restnamibia pangolins rescued from potential traffickers now have a chance to be rehabilitated and returned to a wild life.
These guys are remarkably shy, and we are still to spot one in the wild so don't expect to just see these guys anywhere in Namibia. If Pangolin spotting is on your 'must do' list then make sure you stop over at REST and support their hard work and conservation effort.
Every Sunday & Thursday afternoons we head out into the bush to Okapuka Game Ranch. The best part about game driving at Okapuka is the surprise of spotting something as cute as this little guy.

The Australian summer provides a number of unique viewing opportunities for our wildlife. With temperatures peaking for the year in Southern Australia, visitors will often find land-based mammals including marsupials, invertebrates and birds congregating in some areas in search for water and food. In the tropics (Northern Australia), instead of summer, we experience the ‘wet season’. A combination of warm, humid days and monsoonal rains bring a totally different wildlife viewing experience.
Take a look at some of our favourite posts from our members in January 2019:
The wrinkles in an elephant add character and wisdom and we think it only makes them even more beautiful...even with a mouth full of food!
Thanks @365sabadosviajando for joining us all those years ago and sharing this beautiful photo with us. We hope your journey around the world is going amazing, and that you'll come back and visit us again one day.
Little hang outs with the one and only griffin neighbourhood mascot bruce the brolga. Such a stunning bird! He is so friendly and just hangs out with people in the neighbourhood. We often get to see his goofy, dancy, feathery displays. He is a regular on most of our walks :) maybe he will be the subject of my next drawing.. 🦖🦅

Bird, bike & board. This visitor was rather confident! Painting done, may the rest of the house maintenance project commence - and some summer at the beach. #kingparrot@australia#seeaustralia
