  • Voor mij is het wel echt een Blue Monday, want ondertussen ben ik alweer een aantal dagen lekker aan het griepen. 🤧 Het begon met een verkoudheidje en later kwamen keelpijn en koorts er ook gezellig bij. 🙄😬 Helaas ook al een aantal dagen niet kunnen gymmen, daarom even deze foto, want ik ben niet in de mood om een nieuwe te maken.. 😂 Ondanks dat ik me nog niet helemaal top fit voel gooien we er een paar paracetamols erin en gaan we toch maar een dagje werken. Links naast me staat de doos tissues en rechts de zak met keelsnoepjes daarmee moet ik mijn dag wel kunnen doorkomen. 💪

  • Life is a balance between accepting and cherishing our now completely and to the fullest, while staying hungry, in order to stay motivated, for goals we have not yet accomplished. It’s common to fear enjoying our now so much that we get comfortable. It’s almost like we don’t allow ourselves to feel completely satisfied right now because we want more, right? However, being in the now, cherishing what we have now, doesn’t have to exclude the other side: motivation, the ambition to want more. In fact, gratitude will attract more things to feel grateful for. Dare to tell yourself that your life is pretty amazing as it is right now, without immediately focusing on things missing. There will ALWAYS be something that could be better, but why focus on that when you have so many things that are great? 
My secrets, or lessons really, are these: accept and feel grateful for everything that you have in your life, and everything that you are, right this second. Because if you don’t learn to master that, you certainly won’t feel satisfied when you have that job, that apartment, or that partner either. With that mindset it will always be something missing, and your focus will always be there. Always wanting more can be a blessing or a curse, depending on how well you know gratitude. I can personally say that even though my life still has parts missing, parts that I really want to have one day, I accept and celebrate what I do have right now - every single day. Because if I wake up tomorrow and everything that I have today would be gone, I would wish that I had cherished it all more. The beautiful thing is that we have the chance to do that right now. #writtenbyamandalinnea
