Day 6 of @spoopyhol’s #AcceptableInThe80sBookChallenge 🤯
Day 6: Another One Bites the Dust - Your last read ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My last read was Mr. Mercedes 🌚 It quickly made its way into my top 5 favorite King books! (That I’ve read so far) I’m about halfway into the sequel, Finders Keepers, and LOVING it.
Day 3 of @spoopyhol’s #AcceptableInThe80sBookChallenge ! 🐚 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Day 3: White Wedding - White Books ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here’s pretty much all the white books I own. A pretty nice mix of graphic novels, biography’s, and plain ole fiction, if I do say so maself 🤗 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Throwin’ a pool party at my house today cuz the weather is gorg! Bring on the friends and bring on the margaritas 😛☀️
MARCH WRAPUP! 📚
I know I’m a day late but here’s my March wrapup ☺️ Shoutout to @spoopyhol for putting on such a great March Challenge! I had a lot of fun with content creation for #AcceptableInThe80sBookChallenge ! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I loved every one of these books I read! Definitely going to keep more manga’s and graphic novels in my monthly rotation! Thanks to everyone who recommended me any of these! Happy Easter :)
March Wrap Up 📚
So...as you can see my overly ambitious goal of reading 7 books in March did not come to fruition as I only managed to read 3 books 😅
I think this was partly to do with the fact that I didn’t enjoy a single book I read this month so I was feeling uninspired to stick to my reading schedule 🤷🏻♀️
No matter! April will be a better month...hopefully...
I always feel disappointed when I don’t read often, I feel like I can always do better and it upsets me but I really just need to quiet that little asshole voice in my head and enjoy the books I’m reading. Fast or slow reading shouldn’t matter!
Anyway, my reading list is as follows:
The Casual Vacancy - @officialjkrowling
‘Salem’s Lot - @stephenking
We Need To Talk About Kevin - Lionel Shriver
I can’t say I was particularly impressed with any of these books to be completely honest. The Casual Vacancy was okay, bit boring, ‘Salem’s Lot was terribly disappointing and We Need To Talk About Kevin was just a mixed bag of emotion.
Just one of those months 🤷🏻♀️ makes you appreciate all the fantastic books I’ve ever read 💕

“Will things ever be the same again?” #acceptableinthe80sbookchallenge THE FINAL COUNTDOWN: March Wrap Up.
Another slow reading month for me, meaning another crazy month in terms of everything else. I’m almost done the first season of my tv show guys!
I’m gonna shout out to @futuremonsters who I’ve been wearing throughout the tapings. Except for this one. The producer says I can’t wear it on tv. But go check em out! Because we are all #FutureMonsters 👻🧛♂️🧟♀️
Also a shoutout to @spoopyhol for a very fun challenge this month! I didn’t have a vinyl for every post, but I hope I still won best music taste on insta 😉
And finally, a big thanks to the ever wonderful @lipstixandliterature whom I subjected to a painfully long buddy read of The Hobbit. I hope this experience will not bitter you to doing another in the future 😅😘
This month Cam Skip read:
Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt Vol. 6 - Yasuo Ohtagaki
The Hobbit - J.R.R. Tolkien
The Usagi Yojimbo Saga Book 4 - Stan Sakai
Battle Angel Alita Deluxe Edition Book 1 - Yukito Kishiro

🏡No wrap up today for #acceptableinthe80sbookchallenge I wanted to reserve today to reflect on my month.
I've been thinking a lot about what "home" means to me this month. I've lived in a few different places, but for 22 years I always went home to the same place. Moving out of that house this month was emotionally and physically exhausting (the work still isn't totally done). Knowing that I'll never call that house Home again is scary and weird.
So many memories in that house. I grew up there, my cousins grew up there, my best friends grew up there. I know I'll take the memories with me, but I know a part of them stays at that old house too. Part of my story is in those walls forever. As I've gotten older, I realize now that four walls and a roof don't always make a home. Home is a feeling. Home is where whoever you choose to call family is.
"Home is where you dance with others, and dancing is life." -Stephen King .
As it was March Mystery madness this month I mainly read mysteries/thrillers and I enjoyed it so much! My favourite read had to be Truly devious by Maureen Johnson, a gripping and mysterious read with great characters too- hopefully will have a more detailed review up soon😋📚
I read 4 books this month. The 5th is not pictured because it is an Arc and I’ve been asked to keep it secret for now. I gave that one 5⭐️. I’ll let everyone know what book that was in a few months. •
“S” by Koji Suzuki ⭐️⭐️💫 This one follows The Ting series but you do not need to read the others first before adding this one. This book wasn’t for me. I was super intrigued in the beginning but then it got confusing for me. I’m not sure if it maybe had something to do with the translation. I still want to try out the author’s other books. •
Freshwater by Akwaeke Emezi 5⭐️ This book is a semi autobiographical book following a woman who has schizophrenia. This was wonderfully different. I’ve never read a book quite like the one. I highly recommend this one if you are open to different writing styles. •
Gerald’s Game by Stephen King. 5⭐️This book follows one character during a rather compromising position. Think sexy Cast Away Stephen King Style😅. I really enjoyed this one. Definitely creeeeepy!!
Rose Madder by Stephen King. 5⭐️++! This one follows an abused woman and her escape from her psycho police officer husband. I loved the one so much! •
That wraps up my month. It was a weird reading month for me because I keept picking up books but then put them down after a few chapters. I could have read more books if it weren’t for my weird funk this month. I started to read Jo Nesbo Macbeth (arc) but I wasn’t in the mood for it once I read three chapters. Then I picked up Wicked but that wasn’t living up to my expectations so I put it down too. I will be finishing these books, just not right now. •
Over all, I’d say that I had a great reading month - funk aside 😄. #jasminsreviews#jasminswrapups#bookstack#bookstagram#bookreview#bookblogger#readforwomen#bookstagrammer#bibliophile#bookish#booksandcoffee#stephenking#horror#horrorfan#horrorlover#thering#booknerd#booknerdigans#iread#read#bibliophile#ilovebooks#igreads#nocturnalreadersbox

March is finally over. And what a dissapointing month this has been. I've hardly read anything. I just didn't feel like it. And much of my reading time has gone into playing videogames, often to avoid to actually read.
But, this past week was great! I've read Misery (5🌟 on GR), Saga vol. 1 (4🌟 on GR), and The Gunslinger Born from the Dark Tower Omnibus (4🌟 on GR).
I've read maybe 20 pages of A Game of Thrones since the end of February and I'm still about 200 pages removed from finishing it. I don't know why it's suddenly become so hard for me to continue. From what I've already read, I loved almost everything. I guess I should blame it on my mindset.
Misery was just a FANTASTIC read! I'm so sad I waited this long to read it.
Saga, was a lot of fun. I understand the hype! I'm definitely going to collect the other volumes.
The Gunslinger Born was a hard one to rate. The story itself is nothing new, and felt super rushed. The writing was, meh. Not terrible, but not good either. The artwork though... holy shit! Amazing! It really cranked up my rating.
Well, let's hope April will be a better month for reading.
. #acceptableinthe80sbookchallenge Its The Final Countdown - March Wrap-up
. #bookishvariety - wrap-up (day late, but I wanted to combine the two challenges :) ) + bookhaul. (Only bought two books this month. Saga and The Dark Tower Omnibus)

#acceptableinthe80sbookchallenge - wrap up!
I feel like 7 is the max I can do. I have a goal of 10 books in one month, and I have the first week of April off, so I plan to do a lot of reading. Maybe April will be my 10 book month 🤔
This month I read:
My Friend Dahmer
Within These Walls
Into the Darkest Corner
NOS4A2 (finishing it today!)
Of Things Gone Astray (also finishing today, I am determined!)
When it comes to #theunreadshelfproject2018 ... I'm doing well. I guess 😂 I bought myself two books this month, but they were thought out and deliberate. My husband also bought me a few books. I've read 20 books so far this year, I've removed a few from my TBR as well. I started out with 379 books on my owned TBR shelf and now I'm down to 358 🙌

March wrap up! I think it’s safe to say I did pretty good this month 👀 I need to finish The Lunar Chronicles soon, I love that series! I’ve ordered Winter and plan to order Fairest pretty soon 🤷🏼♂️ I also decided to read the A Court of Thrones and Roses series now since the 4th book comes out in the end of April and I want to be a part of the hype 😬 I hate when everyone is losing their shit over good books and I can’t relat since I haven’t read the series... I’m thinking of taking a break from Acotar now to read Simon Vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda though, I really want to read that book!! 💞
I just realised I forgot a book - I also read A Work in Progress by Connor Franta... 🤔
Day 31: The Final Countdown - March wrap up #acceptableinthe80sbookchallenge
222331 March, 2018
One of my main reading goals this year is to finish a book series each month - which I failed doing last month 😔 - I'm happy I was able to accomplish it this month. Illuminae and Gemina were re-reads on the way to Obsidio which was an amazing end to an incredible series. AND I feel that ending perhaps leaves the door open for more? 🤔 For one character anyway. 😉 I love these books, they are now firmly cemented in my top five series. Every one gets 5⛤ from me. If you love great sci-fi I cannot recommend this series enough. ❤
Now we move onto April where I have some darker reads planned. 😏
Well, just like that another reading month is gone. I completed 10 books this month so far (I plan to finish The Shining today), so yeah, pretty happy with that. Three were e-books, three were audiobooks and four were physical books.
1. Macbeth - Jo Nesbo ☆☆☆☆☆
2. The Lost Girls of Camp Forevermore - Kim Fu ☆☆
3. A List of Cages - Robin Roe ☆☆☆☆☆
4. The Couple Next Door - Shari Lapena ☆☆☆
5. Wizard and Glass - Stephen King ☆☆☆☆☆
6. The Troop - Nick Cutter ☆☆☆☆☆
7. The Wonder - Emma Donoghue ☆☆☆☆.25
8. Ace of Shades - Amanda Foody ☆☆☆☆
9. Rise of Fire - Sophie Jordan ☆☆☆.25
10. The Breakdown - B.A. Paris ☆☆☆☆☆ .
All of my reviews of these books can be found on GR or on my blog (link in bio). Excited for April! I have a lot of big reads scheduled including a Doctor Sleep reread and a buddy read of The Passage!
March wrap-up for #acceptableinthe80sbookchallenge . I finished whopping 12 books this month and listened Half a King as an audiobook. Not featured here are the five books I had to return to the library already.
I don't know how I managed to read this much this month, but I'm very happy with the results. 😁 The best one was definitely Half a King. I love Abercrombie's style of storytelling so much, and especially I love his characters that really come to life from the page. I have almost listened Half the World too, only a few hours to go, and I'm loving it even more if that's even possible. 🖤 In the top 3 for March were also Sour Candy and The language of thorns. 🌟
Thank you for @spoopyhol for the great and fun challenge! I will jump in and out of a few challenges in April, and I have actually started to plan for a challenge of my own to host in May or later in the summer. I already have a few prompts ready, so stay tuned! 😉
On my way to meet my best friend and her family, we haven't seen each other since december so yay, awesomeness ahead! ☺️ Hope you all are having a fun easter too. 😘
One book to rule them all! My all time favorite = The Stand; the most badass, epic piece of post-apocalyptic horror/fantasy literature ever to be penned! ☢💀💙☢💀💙☢💀💙☢💀💙☢💀💙☢
. #bookreadhappyhour 'anything goes': shout out to the best book ever #bookishvariety 'favorite fantasy'
. #acceptableinthe80sbookchallenge 'favorite ruler': Randall Flagg aka. The Dark Man
Friday! It’s my first weekend in ages where I don’t have to do anything. There will be reading. And Ready Player One. What about you?
🚀 #bookreadhappyhour | March | Day 30 … It’s only after you lose everything that you're free to do anything | Anything goes!!
I love free days. Means I can use an old photo that I’ve been wanting to use for ages! I adore my little Stephen King bookmark. He’s currently lounging in the first chapter of 11/22/63, keeping my place for when I’m not so slammed. Sadly, I got so wrapped up in work this month that I wasn’t able to focus on it. I kept picking it up and loving the one page I was able to get through. Turns out with the busy, I just needed something different. Does that ever happen to you? So King will have to wait until I can properly enjoy it!
🖤 #acceptableinthe80sbookchallenge - Everybody wants to rule the world - Favourite ruler. Heh. King. Did not plan this.
Have a wicked Friday, loves!
