  • Danny and I had a blast during this trip. Every corner of Yosemite is a postcard and we enjoyed being surrounded by nature..
Ogni angolo e’ una cartolina, felici di ricaricare le batterie nella natura..

  • ‘ I am losing precious days. I am degenerating into a machine for making money. I am learning nothing in this trivial world of men. I must break away and get out into the mountains to learn the news.’💡(This quote is from John Muir and I love it so much.) 💭

It resonates personally as this is what I've been doing these past few months — learning to be in nature again and really understanding how it's all interconnected. 🌎

Through generations we have lost our ability to grow our own fruits and vegetables, understand the impact of our convenient lifestyle, lost touch with the concept of local/seasonal food while having long dinners at dinner tables and meaningful conversations without looking at our phones are more and more unusual.
🏙️
When I pause to notice these things, I'm longing for a change. I want to connect deeper and beyond the surface. I have conversations on a daily basis that remind me I'm recovering from western civilization. As I embark on my journey of unraveling years of learned behavior, I'm seeing how much we as a society are on autopilot.
🌄
'Rewilding’: a form of conservation which aims to return areas of land to their natural wild state, especially by bringing back animal species that used to live there. It's about lessening our dependency on civilization. It is a term used to describe the reestablishment and connection to nature we've mostly lost. We've become strangers to nature in this hyper ‘connected’, busy life. 🍃

I want to use this platform as a place for connection, not comparison. Please take a few moments out of your next 24 hours to sit back and observe. To be aware. To think about what 'rewilding’ looks like for you! It can be so easy to be mindless in our days, but take back your power 👊🏻 May your time in Nature lead you to yourself… 🌳🌲🌿 #rewilding

  • Who let the scouts out? 🌍💚🏕️ Have you done any good deeds today? If so, awesome job!
I feel like good deeds and volunteering your time can be among the most rewarding things one can do! If you feel similarly, but don't feel you have enough time or maybe the energy to invest in regular volunteering, I have a suggestion for you. 😉 (Insert sales pitch (NOT😆))
No but seriously, if you want to do something but most scheduled activities seem like too much, have you tried challenging yourself with good deeds? Eg. Picking up trash from the road while you are on a walk? Mailing an elderly home a holiday letter? Biking to work/school for a month?
There are tons of things you can challenge yourself with and they can be as easy or though as you like.
If you haven't tried picking up trash while you are on a walk yet I challenge you to do so! 😉

💚💚Reabertura do Instituto Museu Inhotim neste último final de semana, fechado devido tragédia/crime do rompimento ocorrido numa das Barragens situada em Brumadinho. .
.
