Think about this one. A few years ago, I believed I loved animals but I ate animal products.
That made no sense. Every single animal we use for food - whether they’re raised for meat, milk or eggs - is an animal who was exploited and who died in a slaughterhouse by having a knife pulled across their throat or who was suffocated in a gas chamber.
And every time we consume animal products, that’s what we are funding.
Animal lovers don’t eat animal products.
Everything that goes wrong on this planet... will be because humans😐 The dinosaurs might not be the last to get wiped out from this earth. Consumers have too much power and not enough of a sense of responsibility. MIND WHAT YOU DO, MIND WHAT YOU BUY @animalsabove

When you adopt, you change a dog’s life forever ❤️ There are millions of dogs in shelters in need of loving homes. Do your part to help this #ValentinesDay and ALWAYS— #AdoptDontShop .
🚨❤️🚨💔 Today is Valentine’s Day and here is our heartbreaker Sonny and yes his story is heartbreaking!! He NEEDS an experienced foster home TODAY or tomorrow so please share and help make this happen!! From the South of Texas...to rural upstate NY and adopted in NYC...but city life may not be the place for him....From stray and starving to an accident that cost him his leg but gave him a new life...he needs US and he needs YOU (or someone you know.) Yes, he has know hunger pains and yes he is very protective of his food so crate feeding is a MUST. and needs to be fed in his crate, but otherwise takes treats gently and loves kids, dogs and cats.
Admittedly I'm very rarely proud of myself but the greatest thing I ever did happen 6 years ago today.
I decided to match my actions with my heart and go vegan.
I made the connection that I, nor anyone, should feel they have the power to use, exploit or kill any other living being.
I realised that I had the option, the choice, to live a compassionate lifestyle.
My only real true wish today, and every day is that I will inspire and educate others to make the same decision.
The world is dying. Animals are dying.
Humans are the #1 reason for both and you and everyone you know can make the decision today to be on the right side of history.
Going vegan was the best decision I ever made, and I promise, if you make the connection, your only regret will being having not done it sooner.
Just had a message from a guy saying that if we were all vegan, the human race would die out without the proteins from animal meat. That is so false and untrue. So this one's for you (not my pic, but found on Facebook). You can get vegan protein from all sorts of food; lentils, tofu, black beans, peas, tempeh, almonds, seeds, soya milk, quinoa, nuts, oats, peanut butter and more. You are more likely to die from eating too much animal protein than vegan protein deficiency. I'll be celebrating 30 years of not eating meat this summer (and I haven't died of any deficiency yet - and have never been inside a hospital) and there are many vegans who have been vegan even longer than me.

Sometimes the universe has a way of showing you where to focus, even amidst your grief. Meet Beatrice. She was found freezing to death in a muddy pen with no shelter, no food, and no water. The tips of her ears are frostbitten. She's a senior pig - at least 10 years old and she has severe arthritis in all four of her legs making it hard for her to walk. She's also litter box trained. This means that sweet Beatrice was at some point a house pig, a loved part of the family. Maybe she got too big or too old, but either way someone dumped her to die alone in the mud. It breaks my heart. But she's safe now. And we will love her for the rest of her life. On Monday she is going in to get an x-ray of her legs as well as some other tests so we can make her as comfortable as possible (she's currently on short term pain medication to help her feel better). If you'd like to donate to help with her vet care, we sure would appreciate it: PAYPAL // email@example.com, VENMO // lighthousefarmsanctuary or become a monthly donor (link in bio). We absolutely depend on your support. Thank you. ❤
As a child who came from a strict religious family I’m just blown away for how things have changed (the good changes, others I’m deeply saddened by), we still have a long way to go, with a lot. However I still would like to just sit down and breathe in the good. I hope everyone knows that no mater who you are, regardless of your beliefs (religious murder and things like that will not be tolerated, homicidal thoughts is a different page number), and regardless of your feelings... so long as respect and civilness is shown I will always support each and everyone in finding help or even needing to just know that there’s someone else that gives a fuck about you (Cause I really do). Hell I’ll even talk to have just a good laugh. Fuck I’ll even send memes with you 😂 Anywhore I believe it’s always good to take a deep breath in and find the silver linings in things, because without a doubt things could get a lot more worse. With that being said though whatever your dealing with doesn’t make anything any less serious. An there’s absolutely no comparison to anyone else feelings or what their dealings with because absolutely everyone deals with things differently, their story won’t be like yours because their feelings control what story is (in a way) or what they point out more than you. Yes there’s a lot of relatable things out there and there’s a lot of people who have real bad side affects from it, but yours are no less serious than theirs. For the ones that are right where they need to be in life, an can honestly say that they are happy consistently I give a huge props to you guys. Especially in this day of age, it’s so inspirational to know and see a living proof that people can be truly happy (it’s “weird” but true) I hope everyone finds their motivation and one day will able to “breathe freely” one day. I love you all 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘 ~bay🌊
