Try to improve yourself everyday and do something that makes YOU genuinely happy 🤗 don't compare yourself too much to others, which is quite hard because we all see those big lifts and shredded physiques on social media everyday. I try to see it as a motivation for my own journey and progress 💪🏼 if You really want something and it’s your dream... you can achieve it! #StrongAsFulat

From today’s @trainasp Fat Loss Specialization course in Auckland. Here’s a little more on the “You Are What You Eat’ paradigm.
Why do we assume that with the foods we consume, we are 100% effective in utilizing all the calories it comes with?
Has it occurred to you that in a calorie equation, our bodies need to be first efficient in digestion before those calories can become useful in any way, and only so after, whether our cells have the optimal nutrition and environment to produce ATP (energy)? For example, in my consults and classes, I often come across individuals who swear by eating the ‘cleanest foods’, recording every darn calorie (that includes their 7¾ almonds for a snack), yet feel bloated, lethargic, tired and are unexplainably gaining weight.
Perhaps, looking at the digestive pathway that physically starts with chewing in the mouth, onto the oesophagus, then stomach, small intestines, large intestines, colon and finally out the anus, should be the pertinent consideration over just
what we eat.
In essence, I truly believe that:
1)👉🏼You are what you can Digest,
2)👉🏼You are what you can Absorb
3)👉🏼You are what you Assimilate (utilize), and yes
4)👉🏼You are what you Poo.
While simplistic, this flow of digestive events does a pretty good job in summing up what we should consider when eating. After all, digestion is the vehicle that transports our nutrition and if you want to really feel as good as you eat, then start there! #trainasp#theaspeffect
