#whpinspiredby
It`s January and daylight is returning☀️🍀 Have you struggled to keep your plants alive this winter? I get a lot of questions about how to keep plants alive during the three "months of death»; November, December and January. I too experience that plants die, so how to make them survive the winter season? 🙌 I try to follow three simple rules; put all of my plants close to the window, reduce water and minimise fertilizing. In other words I try not to stimulate any growth and make the plant «sleep» until it wakes up in spring. This year I also have had great success with artificial light! Do you have any tips and ideas on how to make a plant happy during winter season? 🤔
Well I now have one week off and apart from going to a hot sunny country laying by the pool drinking a cocktail 😆 my other favourite thing to do o holiday is a painting project, honestly it’s the truth 🤣 Today I am priming this floor ready to paint it black to match my floors in the other rooms. Cannot begin to explain how excited I am for it to go black 😀🖤🖤🖤 u can follow my stories on my progress🤗 some people tell me, oh u will get fed up of the dark and want to go light again. Well it’s the opposite, I love dark interiors more and more than I ever have 🤷🏼♀️🖤🥰 it’s strange tho as last night I had a dream that I had starting the painting and I totally ruined one of my rugs 😘 hoping that was a sign to be extra careful 😱😂 hope y’all have a fab start to a new week ❤️🖤❤️

A day for oversized jumpers and tea! It has been such a dull and drizzly day. Apart from checking on the wedding flowers down in my dad’s pollytunnel I haven’t done much else. Heading back up to Belfast tomorrow which means my Christmas holidays are nearly coming to an end, I really strung them out for as long as possible but things had to return to normal at some stage!
It’s #Friday , the calm before the weekend storm of much snow and ice as arctic cold grips the #Philadelphia area. There are 4 photo swipes! Today’s pick is #French from the Burgundy region of #France . A very classical white burgundy, varietal 100% #Chardonnay . Bourgogne Chardonnay - Vin de Bourgogne Ropiteau. A 2016 at $19 a bottle. A bright and clear golden yellow color that’s fruity and lively. This is a clay limestone based soil that after the final stage of 6 months barrel aging brings much richness and texture that is elegant. The nose is fruity, oak, white flowers and citrus burst on the tongue in this crisp medium bodied, very pleasant Chardonnay. Enjoy it alone as an aperitif, but it pairs well with cheeses and fish. I am enjoying it with Truffle Tremor Cypress Grove goat cheese smeared on a french baguette. 🥖
