  • I remember literally squealing with joy after I took the photo on the left. I looked so SMALL. My goal. Literally the reason I was showing up to the gym and I had done it. 65lbs gone.

I immediately sent the picture to my best friend. And she quickly responded and said “hey I love you and that’s why I’m asking you this. Are you eating enough?” And for the first time since I was in my weight loss journey - I had to really ask myself, am I?

A calorie deficit is obviously important to weight loss but I had to stop and ask myself, how little is to little? And I realized I had reached that limit.

I talk a lot about relationships with food on here. I want you to have a healthy one. But that doesn’t mean mine always is healthy. Ya know?

In the left I struggled immensely with food guilt, under eating, calorie counting, over exercising to make up for eating “too much,” skipping meals. And the truth is, I didn’t even realize it. I just enjoyed the scale dropping. But skinny doesn’t always mean healthy. And I’ve learned that now.

So here’s to allowing myself the courtesy of eating when I’m hungry. For letting go of numbers. For no longer viewing exercise for punishment. For no longer attaching my worth to the scale. For loving myself for who I am and not who I could be. To being a work in progress, always.

My relationship with food still isn’t perfect. I still struggle to realize it’s okay to eat more if I’m still hungry. To accept that food isn’t my undoing but instead a vital piece of my journey. But that’s okay, I am growing day by  day.

So I’m here to say I’ve gained almost 20 lbs between these photos. And DAMN i look good doing it. Fuel your bodies babes. It will thank you.

  • It’s weird and pretty amazing to realize my body looks better now than it did 10 years ago.

Here are few fun facts about my fitness journey:
🏋🏻‍♀️I love CrossFit training. Only reason I’m not doing CrossFit now it’s cause can’t find a gym near me at the moment;
🏋🏻‍♀️ I got cut out of the Gymnastics team in school cause I was too stiff 😭
🏋🏻‍♀️ I try to eat a “paleoish” diet for 80% of the time, the other 20% I eat for pleasure, cheese 🧀🧀🧀 am I right?
🏋🏻‍♀️ I’ve done lots of crazy and stupid diets like only eating apples or tomatoes for two weeks. (Thank God  that’s over 15 years ago)
🏋🏻‍♀️ I feel like my mind gets way more benefits than my body when it comes to exercising 😌🙌🏼
🏋🏻‍♀️ some of my fitness goals are: to touch my toes😅 to do 10 pull-ups, 20 push-ups, handstand, pistols, etc... 😅😅

Aqui estão algumas curiosidade sobre minha jornada fitness:
🏋🏻‍♀️Eu amo CrossFit. Só que no momento não encontro nenhuma Crossfit perto da minha casa😔
🏋🏻‍♀️ Eu fui cortada da equipe de Ginástica na escola porque eu era/sou muito dura 😭
🏋🏻‍♀️ Eu tento comer uma dieta paleo por 80% do tempo, os outros 20% eu como por prazer, 🧀🧀🧀 queijooooooos 💛
🏋🏻‍♀️ Eu fiz muitas dietas loucas e estúpidas como comer maçãs ou tomates por duas semanas. (Graças a Deus há mais de 15 anos atrás)
🏋🏻‍♀️ Eu sinto que minha mente e meo emocional tem muito mais benefícios do que o meu corpo quando se trata de exercício 😌🙌🏼
🏋🏻‍♀️ alguns dos meus objetivos nessa jornada fitness são: tocar meus dedos do pé😅 fazer 10 barras, 20 flexões, parada de mão, pistols, etc ... 😅😅

  • Messy hair, sweaty faces... but my mom & I got an amazing back & bicep day in 💁🏻‍♀️. .

Did you guys workout yesterday? I think there’s nothing wrong in keeping up with your routine even during holidays and special occasions, as long as you live it with the right mindset.

If you workout because:
You HAVE to.
You’re going to eat heavier, so you NEED TO BURN CALORIES.
You can’t skip a day, cause you end up feeling GUILTY. ❌ Then you probably have to reconsider your priorities.

Working out should be about feeling good with and about yourself. You should make it an enjoyable part of your life, but life should never revolve around it. 
I worked out yesterday, but then I also had a nice dinner with the hubs 🤗 which may have involved LOTS of fries, cookies 🍪 & red velvet truffles from @tiffstreats 🤤!

Living Life > Building Muscles‼️.
Memories > Macros ‼️.
👉🏼 what’s your view on this?

🇮🇹 Penso che non ci sia niente di male nell’allenarsi durante le giornate di festa, purché venga fatto col giusto mindset.

Se vi allenate perché:
DOVETE.
Mangerete più pesante e allora dovete BRUCIARE CALORIE.
Vi sentite IN COLPA se saltate un allenamento. ❌Bè, allora forse dovreste riconsiderare le vostre priorità.

Bisogna allenarsi perché ci fa stare bene e non mossi da un senso di dovere. L’allenamento dovrebbe essere una parte piacevole delle vostre giornate e mai un obbligo imposto perché la vita, non può e non deve girare intorno alla palestra ed il vostro mero aspetto fisico.

Io ieri mi sono allenata regolarmente e poi io e mio marito ci siamo dedicati una bella cenetta che potrebbe 😜aver coinvolto tante patatine, cookies & truffles al red velvet 🤗!

  • CRUNCHY chickpeas anyone?🤗
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One of my absolute favourite SNACKS, that is HIGH PROTEIN and great to store in a jar and take with you to work.🙆‍♀️
This is SO SIMPLE, yet satisfies me every time will giving me an extra FIBER kick!!🤩
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉How i make it? Drain 1 can of chickpeas ( i use organic ones in water) and pat dry with a paper towel. Spread evenly on a lined oven tray and  spray the chickpeas with a little avocado spray OR 1 tbsp oil of choice. Sprinkle desired spices as salt and roast at I then roast at 180 degrees celsius until crispy! ( Takes around 40 mins). Alternatively, you can follow the same procedure and pop them in the air fryer!

Here are 6 of my best flavour combos:
🔥1. Curry: 1 tsp curry powder of choice over chickpeas & some sea salt
🔥2. Hot ’n Spicy:  1 tsp cayenne pepper Or peri peri powder with sea salt and pepper
🔥3. Garlic & Rosemary: 1 Tsp garlic powder and 1 tsp rosemary, salt & pepper
🔥4. BBQ: I sprinkle 1 -2 tsp BBQ spice rub, salt & pepper 🔥5. Cheese & onion: 1 Tsp onion powder, 1 tsp parmesan OR nutritional yeast, salt & pepper
🔥6. Salt ’n pepper: Sprinkle some himalayan salt and black pepper corns

  • wasn’t planning on sharing this dinner (hence the messy appearance) but it turned out SO well it’d be mean of me to not share it👇🏻
1) heat a pan over med-high heat & grease it with lots of @chosenfoods avocado oil
2) to the pan add 1 bag @traderjoes cauliflower gnocchi & 3 @hilaryseatwell veggie bites 
3) cook the cauli gnocchi by covering it, the. stirring it around in the pan every once in awhile & the veggie bites by searing for 6-8 min on each side (so just let em sit there & cook)
4) while your pan stuff is cooking, pop some frozen broccoli & brussels in the microwave for ~3 min to steam them
5) when your veggies are done add them to the pan with some frozen spinach & zucchini, then cook it all together until the veggies, bites, & gnocchi are all crispy
6) reduce heat to low & add in a couple big forkfuls of @kitehillfoods plain cream cheese & lots of everything but the bagel, then mix everything together
7) remove from heat, serve in a bowl, & devourrrrrr🤑

  • If the celery juice craze isn’t your thing why not try including the so many other amazing varieties of veggies, fruits and spices into your daily diet instead. You can even have fun sneaking them into your sweets like these ones here, lemon & turmeric energy balls. You can use fresh or dried turmeric and adjust the quantity to your taste. I added buckinis for extra crunch but hemp seeds would be a lovely alternative too. The recipe is available on the website under ‘snacks’ and is the perfect alternative to chocolate energy/bliss balls. 💛💛💛💛

  • | Ski and surf towns are my favorite kinds of places! When I graduated high school I had a choice to go to college, or to move to @kirkwoodmtn where my best friend at the time Amy, had just starting working. I chose wisely and picked the mountains, obviously! 🙄 After year’s of living my best life on #kirkwoodskiresort  and SLT, I eventually blew my knee out and had full reconstructive surgery that led me to finally moving away. #heartbroken 😔 My fear of getting injured again kept me off the mountains for nearly 10yrs; it wasn’t until I found surfing that I finally felt the freedom and connection with Mother Earth that I had lost and so badly craved! There’s something so magical about being surrounded by like minded humans, who love literally playing with the elements, taking chances, and risking everything, for the love of connection to our true Queen! 👑 🌎 With a broken-no I didn’t get an X-ray, I’m totally self diagnosing- toe, and 8 classes to teach while I’m hear, I sadly haven’t been up this mountain yet 😔 But trust and believe, I AM COMING!! Can’t wait to play on this gorgeous mountain, thank you Universe for this gift of such magnitude, I really do feel the best when I’m in snow, dirt, or waves!   • | Ski and surf towns are my favorite kinds of places! When I graduated high school I had a choice to go to college, or to move to @kirkwoodmtn where my best friend at the time Amy, had just starting working. I chose wisely and picked the mountains, obviously! 🙄 After year’s of living my best life on #kirkwoodskiresort and SLT, I eventually blew my knee out and had full reconstructive surgery that led me to finally moving away. #heartbroken 😔 My fear of getting injured again kept me off the mountains for nearly 10yrs; it wasn’t until I found surfing that I finally felt the freedom and connection with Mother Earth that I had lost and so badly craved! There’s something so magical about being surrounded by like minded humans, who love literally playing with the elements, taking chances, and risking everything, for the love of connection to our true Queen! 👑 🌎 With a broken-no I didn’t get an X-ray, I’m totally self diagnosing- toe, and 8 classes to teach while I’m hear, I sadly haven’t been up this mountain yet 😔 But trust and believe, I AM COMING!! Can’t wait to play on this gorgeous mountain, thank you Universe for this gift of such magnitude, I really do feel the best when I’m in snow, dirt, or waves!   • Started a new kind of #bbg this week. Modified, slow and focused on form foremost but it feels good to have a routine. My exercise has been decent with walking but I’d like to focus on some muscle strengthening to get stronger and build some stamina for the big day. My #1 goal is to be active for 30 minutes 6 days a week so this account is for accountability and also probably lots of #FTM questions lol. 🤰🏻#26weeks

I remember when I first went to uni on the coast I was actually shocked to see some people turn up to class barefoot. 😱 I was like “oh my gosh... where am I? & who are these people?” 😂 Coming from Melbourne city, you NEVER see anyone walk barefoot... EVER! People even wear shoes at the beach. 😂 It wasn’t until I read about the science behind “grounding” or “earthing” that I began to understand its health benefits. (Yes, it’s been scientifically proven).

Grounding refers to absorbing electrons from the earth’s surface by walking barefoot outside. (E.g. walking on sand, grass, dirt & or concrete). A lot of people ask how did I get over my food addiction and the truth is I have Not 100%. 2 years later and I struggle like a lot of people with not being able to control my cravings and etc. Food addiction is real. You give in to withdrawal symptoms to certain foods, eat it and feel satisfaction...and then feel this overwhelming guilt afterwards. Drugs aren't too far off. It's the same concept except one of them is not illegal. I hope to use my small platform to bring more attention to this type of problem. Point is, you don't have to be close to perfect to overcome and get closer to a better you. "
