Happy Saturday night everyone ✨ currently laying in bed with my dog, missing the puppies 😭💙. Im so happy to share that they all are in their new homes (except for one, my sister & mom kept her hehe), but I could not have asked for better dog parents than the ones that welcomed my puppies into their homes and lives 🥰🐾.

Bicep exercises have always been a HUGE struggle for me. I used to feel extremely self-conscious while working my biceps because they’re my weakest muscle group. I constantly compared myself to others and worried about what they would think of me when I picked up a small weight and attempted a bicep curl. I thought people would judge me, so I just avoided them. Typical eh? What good did that do me? I wasn’t working the muscle so I wasn’t making myself stronger—keeping biceps as my weakest muscle group, creating a cycle.
I’ve learned that to improve our weaknesses we first must challenge them. Face them head on!
DO the things that make you uncomfortable.
DO the things that make you scared.
DO the things that make you learn, improve, and grow.
And most importantly, don’t give up after only a few tries. Keep trying, keep pushing through🦋

Happy Sunday fitties 💕 today is all about rest & recovery! So I’m watching Grey’s Anatomy and foam rolling thanks to the @sweat app 🤗. Then I’m going grocery shopping and meal prepping! 🤪🙌.

I want all my food to match my hair! Lol jk 😂 I've been busting my ass at the gym lately (goodbye depression!), so I'm creating a plantbased fitness recipe ebook with my fave meals cause I usually find diet plans so flavourless and boring. It will be exactly what I've been eating to build muscle, min 1800 cal a day. All I can say is I'm in better shape now at 37 than I've been in my entire 20s 🙌🏻

Thanks to @a.moms.phdtofit I did some research on #mindtomuscleconnection I have been engaging my glutes but definitely think I can improve. When I was a kid, I was taller than most the other kids so I would slouch. Dad always told me to stand up straight which meant I engaged my core so now it’s just habit (thanks Dad). So I’m hoping if I apply that theory to my glutes, not engaging them all the time (that would be hard work), but activating them a few times a week, it might help #growthatbooty So, finally, after trying to figure out where and how to fit in all my workouts in a week, I’ve decided #hiitworkouts will be dedicated to my glutes. #watchthisspace

I will admit that I haven’t had it EVERY day, but the majority of them I have!!! And I’m SO GRATEFUL this shake was suggested to me, and that I ignored the voice in my head that tried to talk me out of it!!
I share pretty often that nutrition has always been the hardest part of my health journey >>> I struggle with emotional eating, I’m a “convenience eater” ((aka i hate to cook so like things that are quick and easy, and even better if i don’t have to make it 😬🤷🏻♀️)), I get crazy cravings and go on random BINGE eating episodes, esp if I have something that I love and hadn’t had in a while, if I have the tiniest taste I’ll suddenly want it ALL and it’s all I can think about!!! 😳🤦🏻♀️

Even if my days eating goes to shit, I know for a fact that when I have THIS SHAKE, my body is getting the absolute BEST nutrition!!! And if that’s the only good thing I have, it’s always better than nothing!! ✊🏼
What’s even better, though, is how having this shake every day helps me WANT to make better decisions!! And slowly over time, I’m getting better and better at consistently eating healthy, whole foods!! And I KNOW this shake has played a major role in that!! 😭🙌🏼
I’m aware that there are SO MANY “shakes” and “powders” on the market, and the BEST advice I can give you is to DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!

I trust mine the most because it’s 100% NATURAL, it has protein in it but it also is filled with SO MUCH MORE than that! It gives me my daily multivitamin. It helps my digestion, my energy, my immune system, my hair skin and nails, my cravings, my 💩 ((😆)), and SO MUCH MORE!!

I DID IT!!! I RAN WITHOUT ANY PAIN!!!
Babes, you know I’ve been on the physical struggle bus lately with running 🏃🏼♀️ As well as the mental struggle bus from not being able to run & missing it oh so much 😔 So I ventured outside yesterday evening for a 1-mile run with the fiancé at a conversational pace. I actually moved at a quicker pace than I had originally anticipated and it went perfect 👌🏻 So today I decided to try a 2-mile treadmill run, and I DID THE DAMN THING!!! ZERO PAIN!! And once again, a quicker pace (still not fast or anything) than I had done the last few attempts that caused me pain. I’m feeling so good & hoping this continues because I miss running soooooo much.
Because I was feeling so amped up after two back-to-back successful runs, I smashed the @sweat 12-Week Challenge PWR Week 5 Leg workout today post run 🏋🏼♀️ My legs were shakin’ in my boots (well, technically my gym shoes) by the end of that final burnout!! Ready to close out the week tomorrow morning with a spin class for LISS and following-up with Arms & Abs. Happy Saturday Fam! I hope it’s going just as well as mine 😘🤗
