Even as I post these photos (or any photo exposing tummy, thighs, arms, etc.) I have this nagging sensation that the world is going to THROW ME AWAY at any second. It has been HARD WIRED into me that showing anything that isn’t SMOOTH & FLAT is UGLY & WRONG. You’ve probably heard me talk about this a handful of times, but I’m right smack in the middle of this journey to SELF LOVE & ACCEPTANCE, so I will continue to share.

I grew up in the water, lived in a swimsuit & after I was done swimming competitively & no longer on cheer (taking diet pills), my BODY STARTED CHANGING. As if I had treated it HORRIBLY for years and it decided to settle in to something more COMFORTABLE. I kept thinking I needed to go back, be the same size I was in high school, but my body just refused & I was to stubborn to listen.

After many years of frustration trying to lose weight & not wearing a swimsuit in public, I became a MOM & decided to be more focused on being STRONG & NOURISHING by body the way it needs to be. NOT BEING THINNER. I wanted better for myself, for my daughter. Not to live in fear of rejection but to know that BEAUTY is beyond size, skin color, height, age, etc.

And honestly, I wanted to take my daughter swimming in the summer!! So I did & no one sneered or kicked me out of the pool. 🤷🏻♀️ Now you can catch me doing summersaults in the water at the local Y & having great time with my daughter. 🙌🏽

Mine is definitely a spa day at my favorite Sojo club spa😻 Almost 4 floors of different saunas, pools -outdoor, indoor, infinity pool with the beautiful city view, jacuzzi etc.. to spend all day over there - easy🤪
