  • Who are some of your favorite secondary characters?
✨
Hello, hello Dreamers,
Happy Sunday evening. As the weekend comes to an end I’m curled up on the couch watching the Return of the King. But we are also taking breaks to watch the lunar eclipse. I have always loved looking up into the night sky, at the moon and stars. Astronomy is so fascinating.🌌 Of course it is possible that I am feeling particularly romantic, because all of middle earth was just saved through the destruction of the ring of power. 🌋
QOTD: Who are some of your favorite secondary characters?
A: Samwise Gamegee is by far one of my absolute favorite characters of all time. He is unwaveringly loyal, and pure.
There are also so many amazing secondary characters within the Mistborn trilogy! Sazed is one who is just so lovable. I am so glad that I have discovered this amazing series with my Sanderson Sisters! (Tagged) And now even more of my friends are reading and loving these books!🖤

  • A few days ago I had someone DM me about how they were struggling to concentrate with their reading. 😕
.
.
I think it’s fair to say almost every reader experiences this. The best answer I could provide, and something has always worked for me, is to read stuff that INTERESTS you! 🔥📚
.
.
Whether you’re into investing books, cooking books, or biographies, it doesn’t really matter. It’s so much easier to concentrate when you’re interested in the topic of the book.😊📚✌🏼

  • Q: How is the weather currently where you live?
.
.
Good morning and happy Monday, readers! It is SO COLD out there. We've been experiencing freezing cold temperature warnings the last four days. The temperature has been dropping to between -42° and -50° celsius. The warnings are literally stating frostbite in seconds. I am definitely ready for spring now!

The Ravenspire series by @cjredwine has the most gorgeous maps. Pictured above is The Shadow Queen, which I read last year and really enjoyed. The Blood Spell will be the fourth book in the series and it is due to release next month! I can't wait to see the colour of that map. Enjoy your Monday, #bookstagram! .

  • Question: What’s something you love about Disney? Food? Movie? Ride? Character(s)?
↠↠↠
Morning loves!!
It’s been a few days that I haven’t posted and it’s because I’ve been busy and I got very sick. I hadn’t had the time to take photos and or had the energy to do much. I’m feel so much better today and I’m ready to get a lot of things done this morning!!!
I just finished working out and then I’ll be taking some photos and I’m very excited for that!! Well who doesn’t get excited to take photos and especially when you’re feeling inspired!!!🙃✨
↠↠↠
Missing Disney very much!! It’s going to be almost half a year that I haven’t gone. I have never stayed away from that magical park for that long before!! It’s lots of fun and I enjoy it very much and my fiancé takes me as many times as I like because he knows the joy it brings to me! But I won’t be going back maybe until my birthday we have a few small trips in which we will be exploring others places and making memories other than Disney ❤️.
↠↠↠
My favorite Disney food is those delicious Churros with hot chocolate, mash potatoes and their spaghetti // favorite ride tower of terror (forever will be missed) thunder mountain or space mountain / favorite movie Alice in Wonderland / Jasmine, Donald Duck, Alice, Tiana, Rapunzel and many more

  • ❝There was beauty in the idea of freedom, but it was an illusion. Every human heart was chained by love.❞ -Cassandra Clare🌙
.
What was the last book you read and fell in love with?🍂
.
Can I cheat a little and say my current read?? Because I’m nearing the end of Queen of Air and Darkness right now, and it’s just sooo good! My heart is literally racing, and I can’t turn the pages fast enough. Cassie Clare has done it again!💫
.
I’m trying to change up my feed a bit, starting with this. I can’t decide if I like it or not though.. It didn’t really turn out like I was picturing it in my head, but I’m terrified of ‘posing’ in front of a camera, so that’s probably why, ahah. What do you think of this?🍁

I have read quite a few books, so I have had my share of cliffhangers but these two yo, they did me dirty. Really, really dirty. If there was ever a time for wishing for a time traveling device it would be when I finished The Winner’s Crime and The Vanishing Throne. 😭😭 If you haven’t read either of these series yet, I highly recommend them, just be sure to have the next book ready because trust me, you are going to need it.
•
Now let’s see... Cliffhangers are the best way for me to get my life together and get more books. 🧐
Well then, the predictive text has spoken, get all the books! 🙌🏼🤣🤣 Which book did you read that you thought had the worst cliffhanger ever! Have a great one my lovelies.

  • “Snow falling soundlessly in the middle of the night will always fill my heart with sweet clarity” ― Novala Takemoto, Missin' ✨
.
Today was such a magical day!
It snowed this morning, and the winter lover I am couldn't be happier. Well, technically I could have been happier if I had stayed in bed the whole day, but we got snow, so that's all that matters!
.
As you may have noticed, I've been reading rather slowly lately, so I'm currently trying to get back to a good pace. I try to read whenever I can, and hopefull by the end of the week I'll be done with Kingdom of Ash (which I've been reading for two weeks now...).

  • ‘After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the thing we need most in the world.’
•
If you disagree with Philip Pullman, just think about how we conceive of our own lives in narrative form. From fictional novels, to the way we talk to each other, to the way we remember our past, everything is a story ✨

  • Well I’ve been sick and dying with the flu for several days and it took me a while to even finish the tiniest book because of it, but I did it! Now onto Friday Black. I’ve only read the first story and although it’s pretty jarring, real life is so bizarrely terrible that it actually doesn’t seem all that outlandish. Certainly an exciting start ✨

  • This may very well have been my longest read yet, with over one thousand pages, and more surprising still - on a Kindle. I really surpassed myself this time.
So, 1Q84 by Murakami. It took me a while to get into this book, to really enjoy it, but with 1000+ pages I had more than many chances to. Eventually I did and by the time I finished (months after I started) I didn't even recall not enjoying it in the first place. Aomame and Tengo, Tengo and Aomame. These two stole my heart and my attention for hours at a time and I became obsessed with finding out their fate. Murakami's storytelling is one of a kind, that isn't surprising to me and I've already said it here before several times. 1Q84 wasn't a masterpiece and it's not my favorite Murakami novel, but it is definitely one enjoyable and unforgettable story. Its strangeness in scenario but realness in emotion is gripping. There are multiple themes mentioned and portrayed by the book: love & hate as two extreme emotions, physical and psychological abuse, strong religious beliefs, respect and acceptance about these beliefs, scarred childhood memories, lack of purpose, and so so many others.
Across this story's typical (and genius) Murakami literary strangeness, I was able to identify so many universal topics. Music, once again, also plays a big part in Murakami's writing as it is a recurring theme in other of his books. The amount of diverse references in this book is also overwhelming and I'm so grateful to be a part of the amazing #murakamithon read-along group, who provided so many interesting insights on them. Actually the last thing I'll say today is that this group is the best literary thing I got into and is composed of a very clever, well-humoured and friendly group of people from all over! Let's keep discussing many more books together in the future, it makes me a more intelligent reader and human being :)
My rating: 4 (out of 5)

  • If the weather is cold & dull where you are like it is here then you're going to need a book with escapism today. @paigetoonauthor does a great job of writing novels that transport you somewhere else! Where would you like to be transported to today?
☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Review: I began reading and did not stop until I was halfway through, half of the book in one sitting, I was so intrigued by this storyline and so attached to the lovely main character Amber. Now this book is just a little darker than Paige Toon's previous books but I really liked the fact there was a little hint of mystery and a lot of 'did she really just do that?' about it so don't worry, Paige Toon fans, the Paige Toon sparkle is definitely still there!

Amber was a great character because on the surface she seems to be a totally fearless female, changing her job, flying half way around the world and being confident with it, however, underneath there are a whole load of insecurities that she has stemming back from childhood and ranging all the way up to the present day! I love the fact that Paige Toon writes such deep characters with such back stories.

Now there were a couple of characters I didn't like in this novel and they were the males in Amber's life, and I'm not talking about her Dad! Ethan and Ned again both seemed like lovely guys on the surface but they both had sides to them that just didn't sit right with me. Ethan seemed inherently selfish and controlling and Ned seemed to be out for himself and nobody else. Of course these guys both have redeeming features and well and I didn't hate them quite so much by the time i reached the final page of the book but yet another example of characters who are so true to life and so well written that they can have these lifelike characteristics which would make you hate them!

The sun in the hills and the heat of Australia contrasting with the rain and claustrophobic nature of London is so beautifully written yet again! I love the feeling of escapism that you get with a Paige Toon novel and it really makes me want to pick up another of hers right now, just to get away to sunnier climbs even for a mere 300 pages or so!
