📚 Tag ainda preciso ler 📚
- Manhã, tarde & noite, do Sidney Sheldon. Comprei em 2015 e ainda não li.
📖 Um amigo me recomendou:
- Morangos Mofados, do Caio Fernando Abreu.
- No momento, nenhum.
- It: A Coisa.

Usually on Sundays I like to focus on the goals that I’d like to accomplish for the week. I jot 2-3 mini goals on a notepad and check them off the following Sunday, if they were met. My goals usually range from going to sleep no later than 11PM, getting to the gym at least 5 times before the week ends, pushing myself to drink more water, etc. They are realistic goals that can be tackled down during 7 days.
Thanks to @theacciobox I have a new little notepad and pencil case to keep my goals in and take them with me to work to remind myself and jot down new accomplishments or ideas for the next week! ——
January’s Marauders Box has been my favorite up to date! Everything in the box was perfect and they contained items I can ACTUALLY use on a daily basis! You can snag the February box NOW and use my code ✨JOHNNYXREADS✨ at checkout to save 15% on your first box (when you subscribe to their monthly box option).
—— #qotd 🧐 So tell me, what are some realistic goals you’d like to accomplish or have set for yourself for this week?
Oh I love a blizzard especially when it's the end of January and it's our first proper snowfall of the season. Every child in the neighbourhood seems to be outside building snowmen and having snow fights and I wish I could do the same. Playing in the snow is definitely one thing I miss about being a kid. The days of building snow forts and have snowball fights all day seem so long ago. Has this blizzard hit where you are? If so, did you go out in it or do any Winter activities?
The only winter activity I've done so far is drink hot chocolate by the windowsill and watch the snow as it covered everything in sight. I'm hoping to venture out for a walk after I've finished my cup of coffee and this chapter of My Lovely Wife. After the walk I plan on making a hearty veggie stew for dinner, finishing the new season of Grace and Frankie which I'm absolutely loving so far and starting a new knitting project. Thinking about it, my Winter activities might be drinking teas, cooking hearty meals, and knitting in front of the tv.
It's -22°C outside and I wish I could say there's no way I'm going out in that but tragically adulthood doesn't work like that. Our Winter has been weirdly Autumn like this year so it's a shock to face these temperatures and remember 9°C/47°F is not actually normal in January. How do you deal with harsh cold temperatures? I saw videos of people snowboarding in Montreal streets and I really wish I saw the brightside of this miserable weather like they did.
The only thing getting me through this day is lots of coffee and sweets and Book Podcasts like Getting Lit, Literary Disco, Reading Women, and Ink to Film. Do you listen to Book Podcasts? If so, what are some of your favourites? I'm looking forward to ending this day with a really hot long bath with soothing essential oils and endless cups of hot chocolate. I really hope tomorrow is a little kinder than today.
Q: What is the biggest book on your unread shelf right now?
I'm back with a second post today! And I even have tomorrows photo already taken. Look at me go! I am so determined to power through so many of the amazing series sitting on my unread shelf. This beast of a book is definitely one of the biggest ones. No spoilers! I haven't read part TOG yet, but I am so ready to understand the hype.

Honey cat and the bookshelves. (Has kind of an indie band vibe to it.)
What would you tell your younger self?
Guys @katucker_ wrote another book that I adore (shocker!😂) it's such a well written book and you need to check it out now that it's available!
Almost sixteen-year-old Aria Jones is starting over. New postal code, new last name, new rules. But she doesn’t mind, because it means she can leave her painful regrets behind. In the bustling town of Eastmonte, she can become someone else. Someone better.
With the Hartford family living next door, it seems she will succeed. Sure, Cassie Hartford may be the epitome of social awkwardness thanks to her autism, but she also offers an innocent and sincere friendship that Aria learns to appreciate. And Cassie’s older brother, Emmett—a popular Junior A hockey player with a bright future—well … Aria wishes that friendship could lead to something more. If he didn’t already have a girlfriend, maybe it would.
I finished Skyward yesterday, and I loved it so much!! I love Sanderson’s fantasy, but was trying to keep my expectations low since YA Sci-Fi is very different. I shouldn’t have worried. I loved Spensa almost immediately (weird young women are my favorite types of characters) and M-Bot cracked me up constantly. This was my pick for a book set in Space for Popsugar’s Reading Challenge, and my first five star read of the year! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ @samanthalovesbooks13 asked on her post what your callsign would be, and I had the hardest time choosing one but in the end I landed on Vex. I think it suits me. What would your callsign be?
I’ve got a little less than 100 pages left in THE WATER CURE by Sophie Mackintosh (@doubledaybooks#partner ) and I’m not quite sure where the book is going or how I feel about it yet.
The writing style is beautiful and interesting, but it’s written in such a way that I feel like I almost understand what’s going on, but I’m not sure. I’m hoping to finish it today! I have a feeling the final section, titled “Sisters,” is going to be the point at which I can decide how I feel about the book.
Have you read it? What are your thoughts? I’ve seen wildly different reactions to this one!
Hi Beautiful Book Franz! This morning we woke up with a bit more energy post-baby shower fun & decided to grab some brunch as well as head to visit @oldtownbooks for the first time ever. I’ve mentioned before that there’s something very magical about stepping into a book store & I knew immediately after stepping into Old Town Books that I absolutely needed the visit. Such a zen-ness in the place & of course this amazing book display..
I picked up SALT FAT ACID HEAT by Samin Nosrat for my wife & ordered UNMARRIAGEABLE by Soniah Kamal for a bookstagram friend! Also, the owner of the store was super kind & gifted me a copy of TRUST EXERCISE by Susan Choi. I can’t wait to visit again.
How did you spend your weekend?! & what did you do today?!
"Gods, he was brilliant. Cunning and wicked and brilliant.
Even when he beat the hell out of her. Every. Damn. Day."
I have finished ‘A Curse So Dark and Lonely’ earlier today and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was into the plot from the very beginning until the very end and, gosh, that ending! I don’t know how I can wait until next year to read the continuation!

"Oh, aye, Sassenach. I am your master . . . and you're mine. Seems I canna possess your soul without losing my own."
I am so behind on Outlander. 🙈 What I saw had me hooked, but I haven't had time to watch it and binge Star Trek TNG with the hubs. Lol What are your most binge-worthy shows right now?

For again Scrooge saw himself. He was older now; a man in the prime of his life. His face had not the harsh and rigid lines of later years; but it had begun to wear the signs of care and avarice. There was an eager, greedy, restless motion in the eye, which showed the passion that had taken root, and where the shadow of the growing tree would fall.” #achristmascarol#charlesdickens
📝 Resenha: Corte de gelo e estrelas
Sarah J Maas | 238 páginas | Fantasia | @galerarecord | Nota: 4 🌟’s

Here’s to a dry PNW day, with cozy clouds and a good book☁️☁️☁️
Happy Monday bookworms! The Beacon Family has been soaking up the sun here in Aruba and apologize about our absence. Thanks @thebookists for holding down the fort 😎. I brought these books to read but I’m afraid I haven’t made much progress. Hope everyone had a great weekend filled with lots of reading 💗.
