✅Utiliza mantras: Ayudan a calmar nuestra mente. Hazlo lentamente. Enfocarte en tu respiración te ayuda a silenciar tu mente y practicar presencia.
Que todo fluya apropiadamente en este día!

If There’s a #Whale, There is a #Way 😬💙

The #SpermWhale achieved its general name because of its #LargeHead. Within this head is a #Spermaceti organ which is filled with #SpermacetiOil
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This oil solidifies as the #Water gets #Colder. Because of this, these #Whales are able to #Dive deeper than any other #Whale up to 3,500 feet (1,200 meters!).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Its #Head basically weighs it down and gives it momentum to #Swim against the pressures of the #DeepOcean.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Also, #SpermWhales can hold their #Breath for an #Astonishing 90 minutes!

Beeing focused an what I all have to do. Makes me stuck in my head. I am mot present. I am stressed out.

The way out breathing getting back in this moment and starting with one thing.
What can I do now, then the next thing step by step.

  • Yesterday I had an interesting experience with feelings of anxiety.
.
I was hiking Mt. Lady Macdonald. My wife and I hiked for 2.5 hours straight up an intense incline and gained 1900m.
.
All of a sudden I felt “anxious”. I got scared even though there were not logical reasons behind my fear. I was safe. I was hiking a mountain. I was happy.
.
Then I remembered that because of the altitude, my heart and lungs were working overtime. I was probably hyperventilating, which is a physical action linked to an anxiety attack. My brain thought I was anxious because the physical bodily reactions I was experiencing was more associated in my brain with having an anxiety attack than hiking a mountain.
.
Interesting huh?

  • Sometimes my anxiety feels borderline unbearable.
-
I can feel it swelling up in my chest, and moving into my throat. It makes me feel like I can’t move. It almost feels like I’m choking, and it’s hard to breathe. It brings up all my self doubt, and insecurity. -
This feeling has been coming up more often lately, specifically when I do drop backs.
-
When I notice this sensation, my first instinct is to make it go away. I just want it to stop. I don’t like it. It makes me feel vulnerable and incapable and stuck.
-
But this practice teaches me to observe it. To be with it. To notice the sensations in my body. The vrittis, and the stories I tell myself in its wake, and to keep breathing. -
Maintaining steady breath seems like it massages away those constricting feelings, and helps me feel more grounded.
-
Thank god for this practice, and this breath of mine that is always there for me when I need it 💜
