  • This week is BACK WEEK!!!!! If you can’t tell already by now!!!! And you know I love my back exercises as much as I love my 20 espressos per day!!! 🤩☕️
-
Do you may ask what the hell is she on...??? Well it’s an inversion table! Read on to learn more!!!
-
What is inversion therapy?
-
Inversion therapy is a technique where you are suspended upside down to stretch the spine and relieve back pain. The theory is that by shifting the body’s gravity, pressure eases off the back while also providing traction for the spine.
-
For these reasons, inversion therapy may be beneficial for people with:
-
👉🏾chronic lower back pain
👉🏾poor circulation
👉🏾sciatica
👉🏾scoliosis
-
In theory, inversion exercises should help the spine by:
-
👉🏾creating more protective fluid around spinal discs
👉🏾removing waste from the spine
👉🏾decreasing inflammation
👉🏾increasing blood circulation through surrounding muscles
-
As you know “I’m all about that back, the back, with no trouble” and it makes me feel like I’m Bat Woman!! Sooo letssss hang!

The great thing about back muscles is there’s so many of them! That means more choice of exercises and more chance to turn all that pain into more muscles! Whoop!! 🤙🏽🤙🏽

  • Back dayyyyy!!!! One of my most fav workout days and I’ll tell you why!!!
-
The back is one of the hardest body parts to train, next to legs. -
Not only the fact that it is so energy draining when trained properly but the fact that you can't see your back when training it and that it is very hard to focus on. -
If I went around my gym and asked people if they were satisfied with their back workouts, most would say no. -
Your upper back muscles and lats form one of the largest areas of the upper body and therefore essential in hypertrophy workouts as well as fat loss workouts. -
Because these areas are so significant, back strengthening exercises will help you improve your maxes on most other upper body lifts. -
When is was 18 I had a major boating accident overseas. I severely fractured my T6 and T8 in my spine resulting in a lot of all over back pain spasms and worst of all Thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) which is a condition in which there is compression of the nerves, arteries, or veins in the passageway from the lower neck to the armpit.
-
To put it frankly, it’s bloody horrible. -
After years working with back and spinal injury, I know the importance of gradual change and working with pain. It’s all about monitoring it and doing it properly. -
Posture is key and our back strength opens the door to being able to stand up straight and hold your core firm with these resilient muscles along your spine and in your lower back. The stronger these back muscles are, the easier it is for you to maintain good posture throughout the day and during any activity. -
