It’s been one of the busiest Saturdays I can remember... and I have another crazy day tomorrow as well. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It’s basically my bed time bc yah girl is turning 101 this year and prefers the 4am life...but I still have a ton of things to get done tonight too 😳. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I honestly don’t know if the right thing to do is to sacrifice sleep for getting things done... or vice Versa... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here recently it’s been an ebb and flow between the two because I have sleep deprivation limits feeerrr suuuuureeee. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What I will say is this... you can try being limitless... but there are some physical limits... you do have to rest... even if you abuse caffeine heavily... 😅😅😅😅😅😅
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So just know that there is no shame in planning for the amount of rest you know you have to have to function well... let’s be real about it... if you’re not healthy you’re not getting work done efficiently anyway. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I used to strrrruglllle looking at folks on the gram who would always say 4 hours a night was all you need... and those posts would make me feel bad for getting more than that... but that just does not work for me personally.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I can pull a couple of four hour nights... but I need to plan at least 7 after that or I will crash... hard

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That’s just a personal struggle I wanted to share, because shooooot... there’s no point in feeling ashamed of your biological needs. We’re humans (as much as I want to be a Vulcan) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This is the fourth simple rule that I learned on the “idle” Tuesday when I went to the hospital (see Day 177 for the meaning of “idle”). When you have a health problem, you soon realize how much energy and time you lose by being upset over “social” problems. I consider social problems those that are created by our mind when⠀
we face difficulties in love, relationships, or the work environment.⠀
⠀
Health problems put life into perspective. They also show that your priorities can change from one second to the next. Suddenly, you find that we are not always “objectively” busy, but that we simply perceive ourselves as being busy. We suddenly find time to spend hours in the hospital and re-plan the whole week so we can⠀
keep the next doctor appointment.⠀
⠀
The last part of this simple rule is as important as the first part. “Face the ‘health’ problems.” Influence what you can and accept what you cannot. There are always some lessons to be learned from any crisis.⠀

You may have different definitions of what to consider as being “social” problems and “health” problems. However, I hope I was able to convey the message.⠀
