We had a big list of goals when it came to the kitchen, I’ll admit. We wanted an oven, large front-load fridge, big sink, filtered water, and enough storage for jars, reusable grocery bags, mugs, pots, pans, etc. @greenvanlife#VanlifeExplorers
There are so many ways to go about earning an income while living nomadically. 👉👉 We love hearing how others make their financial equations work on the road: travel nursing, remote work 9-5 with companies they worked for previously, essential oil sales, seasonal jobs, or freelancers/bloggers like us. What else? The list goes on... We also prepared to live nomadically by paying off all our debt (100K), saving up and building freelance skills before quitting our full-time jobs but we still learn something new almost every day out here. Everyone’s risk tolerance is different. Ours was pretty low so we honored that by preparing. There’s no *right way* just what you feel comfortable with. @wilddrivelife#VanlifeExplorers
First meal in the bus! 😍
We finally have cooking capabilities! We still need to get a box welded for the propane in order to get insured, but for now we’ll open the doors and cook ‘camping style’ 😄🚍🌲 .
The tinfoil is temporary, we plan to copper sheet metal the edge around the stove to protect the wood. Our errands ran later than anticipated though, so tinfoil is the solution for now😆
To me, owning the van has always been about blessing people. It’s been about having a way not only bring people places, but also to bring them together. From the weekly driving of volunteers for my school’s ministry, to piling in middle schoolers for some Dutch Bros, and the weekend sends with the coolest of crews. The van just has the ability to create an environment where people have a good time while I get them from point A to B. Thankful that Roxanne has given me a way to be a blessing to other people. I pray that in this next season of life for me, the van continues to bring people together. PC: @scratchmybaklund
