“Louie, go night night.” Jumps in bed as if he’s been doing it for years and like I didn’t build his bed platform 5 minutes ago. The dude may be more ready than I am to hit the road for his first time. 😊🙌

The summer of 2009. Completing the high ropes course at @campmyw taught me an invaluable lesson about perseverance and facing my fears.
I had to climb a ladder then a 30 ft tree, walk across a suspended “burma loop” bridge that crossed over a road and disembark mid air. Fear paralyzed me. I wanted to end this task and climb down. But my AMAZING guide and belayer, Andy, refused to allow me to give up. His words of encouragement and specific step-by-step instructions sustained me the entire time. He would bellow at me, "No Karyne. You are NOT coming down! NO! You can do this! Just keep on climbing one step at a time! I have your back! You will NOT fall! Trust me! " Trust I did and that made all the difference!
At times along the course, I TOTALLY felt like I was going to free fall onto the road, even though Andy reassured me he was supporting me. Trust. Once I finally took that step of faith, everything else fell into place so I could move on in complete confidence, without fear.
