Jealousy is a terrible feeling that I never want people to feel when looking at my feed and posts. I believe that jealousy and negative energy can attract bad luck, nah I don't want that. When I was growing up my grandma was always telling me "Never tell people that you are doing great, they will be jealous and jinx everything, instead tell them you are working hard and things are working out."
It is difficult to avoid jealousy on social media I, myself am guilty of this, as there are tons of places I want to visit and projects to work on. I bet people who don't read my captions can be jealous as well by just looking at all the happy shots of me travelling around and seeing wildlife, but I know that people who actually pay attention to what I do, won't be jealous (at least I hope so, you tell me). I try to be honest about all the work, my money situation, what I do etc, to inspire people to get out there and do it as well if this is what you truly want! From drawbacks of working in social media and with animals to climbing mountains and treating pimples and depression, I don't think there is a topic that I am hiding 😂
Follow pages that make you a better person, follow those who give you value like tips, inspiration, share useful information. Unfollow or mute those who make you hate your life since for most of us insta feed is the first thing we see in the morning, make sure you surround yourself with positivity to brighten your day. Make social media work for you, be in control what you watch online and what you and your mood are influenced by.
Have you ever unfollowed someone on here because they literally make you hate your life? I am often cleaning my feed and deleting people that don't make me learn and be better. #capetown#southafrica#visitsouthafrica#responsibletravel#responsibletourism#travelwithpurpose

Hannay Rhymes with Chardonnay | 'I like on the table, when we're speaking, the light of a bottle of intelligent wine.'-Pablo Neruda |
A really well curated wine list lends itself to intelligent wine. @hannay_wines_ Chardonnay 2016 from Elgin, is zesty, with upfront citrus, stone fruit and has just enough oak to give it a refined structure. A beautiful wine on a beautiful list, @thestackcpt
The @ccconferencecentre is located in the safest part of Cape Town, and offers four large halls downstairs and 11 rooms upstairs. Artworks by five local artists are scattered throughout the venue, and 125 hotel rooms are conveniently situated across the road.
It’s hard to believe two years ago I was standing with my feet in the freezing Atlantic, on the shores of South Africa. This trip changed me in many ways. It showed me a whole different world, opened my eyes to the challenges others face normally unseen by people like me (you know, white and privileged). It reminded me of the fragile line between having and wanting, between poverty and comfort.
I looked into the eyes of lions and patted the gentle giant that is an elephant and wanted to cry at what humanity has done to all of the creatures big and small we share this planet with.
It also taught me about my own resilience to cope with my OCD and anxiety when I left my comfort zone. It taught me where my hard line boundaries where for how I am treated by others. It tested my compassion and patience, and yet I did myself proud.
It also, under the oak trees and stars on a mild evening while eating pizza, taught me an appreciation for red wine I’d never had before. Travel is a privilege and pleasure, and I am glad for the ways it always allows me to grow. #wildteapartytravels#capetown#asosswim#sunsafe#houtbay#atlanticocean#southafrica#sundayreflections#wildteapartyinafrica
So much food to try, so little time! We noshed on this South African ostrich salad while tasting our way through African cuisine at @goldrestaurantcapetown. The menu features a 15-course tasting of foods all across the continent, paired with traditional dance and music performances. We loved discovering new foods from places like Cameroon and Tanzania!
