I’m off from the hobby for a few weeks as vacation time kicks in. Yet I still got a few Gato posts to make and then will share some of the older build pics now and then to keep the ball rolling! Enjoy this side by side: Gato vs Los Angeles Class, Fleet boat vs Hunter Killer.
📄 At times we look at what everyone has going on and wonder why we're not where they're at, why we don't have all they have, and etc... The things is you don't know how long ago they started, what wrong way they are using to succeed, and how your life's timeline isn't based on theirs. Everybody seems to have something going on but you. Be patient! When your time blooms it just might outshine theirs. So be patient and grow into your #blessings in due time.
💯 My momma always said "You are bow jealous about the person who bought a car in 2018 but by the time you get yours in 2019 they will want what you have because theirs is now outdated." So don't stress! .
☞ Something I am learning to do is to stop using social media to snoop on other people's live. If I realize that is what I am following you for I will unfollow you. Don't take it personal. I am taking care of myself lol What do you guys do to stop comparing your life to others?

I picked up the B-Hydra in sample set with the A-Passioni Retinol Cream. Some people notice Retinol dry them out so you counter that with a hydration serum on top. Sadly I didn't notice any change when using the B-Hydra which is a milkier serum. Both have the same milky texture. But the Avene is much more hydrating. Longer lasting and more dewy to the finish where the B-Hydra absorbs in quickly and dryes up. I didn't notice any particulate change to my skin either with B-Hydra. It is supposed to brighten, improve texture and protect the skin barrier. Loaded with b-5, skin brightening fruit and legume extracts, and peptides. Sounds great. But it didn't really do anything for me.
bored n going thru old pics, couldnt help but do another comparison w this one bc I fr cannot believe how just puffy my b4 face looks💀💀
idk even kno why I took that first picc or even kept it on my phone instead of deleting bc i do not look like a happy camper🤷🏼♀️
Samsung’s Galaxy S10 and S10+ both combine three lenses on the rear for one of the most sophisticated camera systems we’ve ever witnessed in a smartphone.
But how do they compare to the single-lens rear camera on the back of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL? Google’s flagships are our favorite camera phones at the moment for their ability to capture incredibly lifelike shots, as well as their power when shooting in the dark.
To find out how Samsung’s camera efforts stack up, we took an S10+ and a Pixel 3 and hit the streets of San Francisco for a little photography tour following Samsung’s Unpacked event.
See the results of our smartphone camera face-off in the next post.
Here’s a side by side comparison of titanium white in five different watercolor brands. From left to right the brands are: Da Vinci, Maimari Blu, M Graham, Schminke, and as a control, the Holbein I normally use. I’ve been having issues with cracking in my Holbein titanium white, so I’m trying out other brands to see how they compare. I’ll have to wait till Monday to see if there is any cracking, but as far as smoothness, paint application and opacity go, I’m really excited about the #schminckehoradam aquarell. I may need to pick up more colors.
Eating more raw fruits and veggies can help with this. Above are some of my favourite juicy snacks and their water content. Fruits and veggies also contain essential vitamins, minerals and fibre that optimise our overall function.
The Galaxy S10 has one of the most sophisticated camera systems we’ve seen in a phone, but it’s not enough to keep pace with our current favorite, the Google Pixel 3.
We took pictures with both. Here's how things turned out.
From our first set of pics we can see that Samsung has stepped up its portrait game with the S10+. The Galaxy handset has the brightness advantage over the Pixel 3, and its complementary wide-angle lens captured more of the surroundings. It wins that round.
Next up, we took food pics. Neither device took a perfect shot, but the Pixel 3’s white balance had less of a yellow twinge than the Galaxy S10. Look at the pink of the paper in the Samsung-captured photo. Plus, the Pixel 3’s shot captured more detail, the icing on the cupcake, for instance.
This is a tough one and totally relatable as social media has definitely upped the ante on people’s tendency to fall into the “comparison trap”
There is absolutely no (I repeat NO) correlation between expensive, over-the-top “instagram-worthy” weddings and successful, long lasting marriage. However, as human beings, we have an innate tendency to compare. Some tips-
💎Spend less time on social media and unfollow wedding accounts that don’t make you even more excited for your own! Once you’ve tackled a decision, try to limit explosure to alternatives that will make you question yourself. It’s called inspirational for a reason— it’s not attainable for the vast majority and will only make you miserable to pine after!
💎Whether or not you realize it, people will take their cue from you- resist the urge to broadcast everything if you feel the exposure taps into your insecure or competitive side. Alternatively, if the bride and groom are committed to being present- other people will be less likely to whip their phone out to document every details.Cultivating mindfulness is helpful across the board and will make this special time FEEL that much more sacred.
💎Take time to think about what this event means to you and your beloved. It’s about celebrating the fact that you’ve chosen to make a lifelong commitment to each other and start your own family unit. Zeroing in on this and getting excited about it can help curb the urge to compare on a superficial level.
When it comes down to it, it’s totally NORMAL to feel this way and didn’t just start with instagram or facebook. In many traditional cultures throughout history, families have spent a disproportionate amount of resources on weddings to display their wealth to their neighbors, tribes or communities.
As social media has only given people a bigger stage to flaunt what they have, it’s important to realize that while we we can’t control how our culture evolves, we can empower ourselves to act in ways that align with our own values and try to limit exposure to everything else!
💪💪💪 #polishgirl#motivation#comparison#changeyourlife#instagirls
