Family goals: we all have our own straws now!
When I came back from Rome my Dad surprised me with the beauties HE MADE HIMSELF from some tubes he still had from another project. How amazing is that?! .
So this Sunday it’s homemade lemonade for Dad, iced fruit t a for my Mom and a frozen smoothie for me.
This proves that patiently leading by example rather than preaching goes along way. I love how my Dad found his own way to avoid another single use product. Zero wasting your life is about changing your habits in your personal way.

Wow! It’s sooooooo hot here on the Gold Coast 😳 Salads 🥗 rule in this weather but so do some cool drinks! 🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋 Decided to make some iced camomile tea (who wouldn’t want some coolness and some calmness!!) with loads of lemon 🍋 and lime slices - fresh crushed mint - and a splash of pure maple syrup and loads of ice! MAKE SURE the lemons and limes and mint are all organic (thanks @gcorganicmarket) as otherwise you’re dosing yourself with a load of pesticides ... OR:
Soak the lemons 🍋 and limes in some water with some vinegar (ratio about 1:5) to get the surface pesticides off the fresh produce!! 🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋 Be sure to make it quite strong (with a few tea bags) as the ice cubes dilute the flavour .... or make it in a large jar, allow to cool and store in the fridge ... perfect! Ice cold iced-tea which cools you down and calms you down 😉🍋 Thanks @planetorganic for your great organic teas!!!!! 🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠
Fact: Optimal temperature for brain 🧠 function is 25 degrees C (77 F) - any colder causes distraction and less focus. Haven’t found research examining how extremely hot weather affects the 🧠 but I guess it’s the same .... 😉 #lightandbright #feedyourbrain #brainfuel #feedyourgut #cooldrinks
