  • Our planet is full of true natural wonders. Volcanoes, waterfalls, forests, oases and rocky caves are among the most outstanding. Regarding relief, without a doubt, the mountain ranges steal all the attention and with exponents of a magnitude as great as their beauty and interest (as the Andes Mountain Range, the Himalayas or the Alps) we do not stop to marvel at these magnificent monuments thousands of kilometers long.
Orogeny is the process through which mountains and mountain ranges are formed or rejuvenated through the action of Earth's tectonic plates and their movements.
Intercontinental Cordilleras: arise when two tectonic plates collide. An example of this is the Himalayas, formed from the clash of the Indica and Eurasian tectonic plates 50 million years ago.

  • Throwback to my trip to the Cederberg a few weeks back. Totally last-minute. Totally unplanned. Yet one of the greatest experiences of my life. Cederberg is hands down one of the most incredible places in the Western Cape. This was the view from our campsite 😍
