What a view! ✨ We climbed 17 floors to reach the top of St. Peter’s Church, which overlooks the Marienplatz square in Munich. It’s a serious climb filled with narrow passes and no there’s not a lift to take you back down 😅. It costs €3 per person to walk up and I’d say it’s worth every cent.

In other news, every day here has been filled with sunshine - which meant that yesterday we even got to sit outside to have a few pints - in February! I can’t believe it either. Today we fly back home, but I’ll be sharing all about my experiences over the next few weeks. I’m trying to stay “in the moment” while we’re here and not worry about uploading much and live in the moment. I think it’s making for a much more enjoyable time away too. 💛 #KellyinMunich 🇩🇪

🌹Happy belated Valentine’s day everyone! I knew I could count on one of my favourite houses to bring out the big V-day guns, and I wasn’t disappointed. However you spent the “official” day of love, I hope you gave *yourself* a great big pat on the back for getting through the working week, and (if you’re in the UK) a chilly start to 2019.💞

In this sweet little village, tourists come from all over to get an unimpeded view of Mt. Fuji. The locals take full advantage and offer up tasty seasonal fruits and vegetables and handcrafted traditional wares.

The nice owner gave me extra dried strawberries (my fave!) and mango slices, about 2 lbs each for ¥1000 ($9 USD). .
It was way too crowded in the main area, so I couldn't fully enjoy the scenic views, but it was an overall pleasant stop in the countryside.

We spent the day on the lake with a local couple who showed us around. We visited the factory where the Longis (traditional skirts worn by everyone in Myanmar) are made. They also make things out of the string found in the stem of a lotus flower. We also saw tons of market stalls, a water garden and silversmiths & fisherman at work.

We got a bit curious what people were bringing to the temples and could not help taking a peek. So beautiful and it looks so yummy! Those Hindu gods are lucky! The temples are dressed up as nicely as the people. We listened in to some of the performances around and people seemed to really be having a good time 😄
