  • The mist and sunshine have brokered a deal these past few days, taking turns by degrees, with sunshine in the second half. Too warm for February? Possibly, but nevertheless wringing our every last drop of it while it’s around.

  • 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙛 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙨𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙘𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚?

8 yrs ago, my dentist suggested a movie to me and she said it’s urgent for your health and your families health that you see this. I watched a movie called 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘴 𝘖𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘒𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 🍴— have you seen it?
It’s a documentary that examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the chronic diseases that afflict us can be controlled or even reversed by rejecting animal- based and processed foods. The idea of using plant based foods as medicine to regain control over your health and lives is proven throughout the movie.

After I watch it, I immediately wanted to challenge he myself. I told myself I would try it for 2 weeks — cut out the meat, cheese; all dairy actually, processed foods like chips and soda, etc.

𝘐𝘛 𝘞𝘈𝘚 𝘏𝘈𝘙𝘋 — 𝘣𝘶𝘵, 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴. It took about 6- 7 days for my palette to change, I was eating mainly salads and fresh veggies like beefsteak tomatoes with balsamic and red peppers with hummus, lentils, edamame — it felt like I was eating like a bird. But I felt a million times better. I slept better. I woke up refreshed. My skin changed. I lost 15lbs in like a month! I was the skinniest I’ve ever been, swipe to see me as a vegan who likes cocktails. (It’s all about b a l a n c e, people). Why am I telling you this? Two reasons —

𝟏 — plants are power. And essential oils are plants — I’m not only feeding my insides with plant goodness, I’m providing plant nourishment on the outside too through diffusing + rollers

𝟐 — you don’t have to change everything overnight. Start somewhere, make a few changes and see how you feel. If you suffer from any ailment, plants can support you. I’ve seen it happen first hand.

If you could feel better for yourself, for your family, for your children— why not make these changes? I challenged myself to two weeks, why not try it for a few days and see what feels different? Double tap if you want more vegan recipes on here.

  • Attempt No. 2 at Photoshop, and my first ever #whp, #whpsplitscreen

Forever dreaming that I'll eventually find a hidden door or old wardrobe that will lead me to a magical land in which I am allowed to drink my tea hot, get 8 hours sleep and won't have Mr Tumble's serial killer voice haunting me all day. 🙈

Bonus if some creepy ass #AbductedInPlainSight shit happens whereby Tom Hardy and I must reproduce otherwise my sister will go blind and the world will end, I mean I wouldn't complain and I would beg my parents to be as stupid as Jan's. (Seriously if you haven't watched that absolute mind fuck. You must!)🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ On another note I spent 3 hours trying to make the forest not stick out like a sore thumb and make the door big enough to actually see out of. For me to ask my dad what he thought of my photoshopping progression, his reply was "It's like comparing fox shit to dog shit." 🦊🐶💩 Hope you all have a good weekend❤️

  • This one time I went to @sketchlondon and it was pretty... (Didn't even eat in this room 😉) This time last week I was going to vomit all over @rockcakes on a rail replacement bus. Tomorrow I'm gonna treat myself to the same joy 👍

  • The Sun⠀
⠀
••⠀
TL;DR sometimes you have strange reactions to cards. Use it as information. ⠀
••⠀
⠀
For the longest time, whenever I pulled the Sun card, the first thing I would feel was irritation. It seemed that no matter what the question my response to this card was the same. I dreaded pulling it because it wasn’t useful.⠀
⠀
I have come to learn that accepting and getting curious about how I feel in response to a card can give me a lot of information. So instead of ignoring it, every time I pulled the sun card I would think ‘ok this is how I feel, I wonder why’. ⠀
The sun is meant to be one of the most positive cards in the deck and yet all I had was anger at it. I had to ask a few times over a few pulls of the Sun card but eventually I found my reason. I have a real irritation for forced positivity (it is rampant in the self help world and comes across in a way that suggests feeling anything other than happy is wrong and something to be fixed) and I realised that I only had one interpretation of the sun card - happiness. So every time I pulled it I would think that the cards were trying to force positivity on me! ⠀
⠀
Obviously that isn’t true but until I took the time to accept my feelings and get curious about it, I couldn’t get past it. Now when I pull the sun card I don’t feel the same irritation. I can look at the card in different ways. ⠀
⠀
Do you have a card that you have a strong reaction to?⠀
⠀
Decks are the Linestrider Tarot and the Numinous Tarot

  • How frustrating is it when you spend a looonngg time cleaning and tidying for a house viewing, for them not to show? Especially when it's like spring outside. Oh well ☀️

  • || Creative Knowing Challenge || ⠀
⠀
Beginning 1st of March I will be holding space for us all to go through the prompts from my latest (free) ebook Creative Knowing. It has these ten prompts to explore the intersection of creativity and self-reflection. ⠀
⠀
If you want to grab a copy there is a link in my bio to my website where you can sign up to the newsletter and get the book in your inbox. ⠀
⠀
From 1st March, each day I will be moving through a different prompt. In the morning I will put up the information for the prompt and ways you can share if you want. (I am in NZ so it may show up a day ahead - there is no rush, just go at your own pace).⠀
⠀
If you give the tag #creativeknowing a follow then you can keep up to date with what’s happening each day. (And make sure you use it on your posts too so I can see how you are all doing with them).

  • When you have a virus and you need to be quarantined, the only thing to do is to stay indoors and play a board game. I cannot recommend this game enough. We managed to find a secondhand when we were in Paris, Le Verger or The Orchard. A wonderful game for teaching children the benefits of working together.
