  • Just incase you forgot, THIS IS WHAT ENDOMETRIOSIS LOOKS LIKE. Surprising after drinking such sugary alcohol beverages whilst menstruating last night I’ve woken up and my insides arnt self destructing and attacking each other so that’s super nice and a pleasant surprise lol💥

  • 💛 Thank you so much to everyone who has asked how I’m doing since my ER scare! I apologize that I can’t respond to all of my DM’s. I’m still in a lot of pain but I’m doing better and taking it easy until my follow up appointment in a few days.
Thank you all! Much love🖤

  • aside from the fact that this is an incredible pun, and puns spark joy for me (marie kondo style!), this was also the perfect reminder to be waiting for me on the sidewalk today. ⠀
⠀
i tell my clients to practice gratitude all the time.⠀
⠀
usually i'll start with a simple exercise:⠀
⠀
- write 3 things you're looking forward to in the morning⠀
- write 3 things you're grateful for at night⠀
⠀
this usually sets people into a mindset of looking for the good, finding excitement and appreciating the little things. ⠀
⠀
i stopped doing this for myself recently and it's amazing how fast the practice slips away. ⠀
⠀
i started thinking more and more about what i don't have and what I still need to work at and what i'm not doing enough of, etc. ⠀
⠀
while those can be valuable driving thoughts, they need to be balanced with gratitude.⠀
⠀
SO, let's get back to that practices. 3 things I'm grateful for today:⠀
⠀
- having a loving husband⠀
- having the perfect space for just us in a city full of life⠀
- having the opportunity to use my knowledge and experience to improve the quality of life of those suffering with the same things I suffered with. ⠀
⠀
how incredibly blessed am i!?⠀
⠀
YOUR TURN!!! ⠀
⠀
write 3 things you're grateful for in the comments and just watch how much better you feel!!! <3 ⠀

  • Always interesting to review old cases!

This case was booked in on my first day at a new practice in May 2014! Retreatment + silver point removal + screw removal + calcified canal + through a crown : THANKS!

I would approach this case differently today and would definitely be taking the crown off for starters. It's so important to establish restorability and makes life much easier too.

The patient has left the practice so we don't have any more follow-up images but some nice healing had occurred in the 14 months after the procedure (and the old crown was still in place 🙈)

  • Saying it again...
If hundreds of millions of men had a disease that caused excruciating pain with sex, bodily functions, daily activities, excessive and prolonged bleeding, infertility, fatigue, headaches/migraines, and a few dozen other symptoms, not a soul alive would be ignorant as to what that disease was. They would already have a cure, or be damn close to one, because god fucking forbid a man can’t have sex (I’m looking at your multi billion dollar erectile dysfunction industry that has DOZENS of treatment options, 24 as of 2014. Endometriosis has 2). Add on the other symptoms and it would be a disease taken so seriously it would be diagnosed without invasive surgery, without it taking 10 years, without CASTRATION being brought up as the first treatment option, or having kids (because that’s something to take so lightly, right) and without being treated as if you’re crazy. Because no doctor has ever told a man “men tend to self diagnose”, “men tend to make more out of nothing”. I’ve lived in this body for 21 years, I’ve suffered for 12. I know more about what’s happening inside of me and about this disease than some doctor who had an hour long lecture on it.
PS, thank you @phoenix_eleven for the pic. I’m making it into a T-shirt.

  • SAFE and the Sacred
_
How safe do you feel in your everyday environment? You may not label it as feeling scared, but what if I told you it could be impacting on your sacred space as a woman?
_
Before I left London I was on the tube late one night (coming back from the best surprise leaving karaoke session 👯‍♀️ #vivalavocals) when a guy walked over, leant into me and grabbed my thigh, right up high. Was he drunk? Yes. Was that an excuse? Hell NO.
_
Angry? You betcha. This person had invaded my space, my power and me. It went deeper. That night transported me back 10 years ago. This wasn’t the only time this had happened. It was no more than 10 seconds that sent me into years of anxiety, agoraphobia and panic attacks.
_
A foul and selfish act that is not only violating but has a long lasting impact on life, changing beliefs on what it is to feel SAFE in an environment, impacting relationships, social life, work life etc.
_
Back then I froze in fear, tears rolling down my face. This time was different. I felt this surge of pure power asserting my physical boundaries. It’s moments like this that I realise how far my practice has taken me. For when we practice the art of embodying the feminine we’re much stronger to respond to the masculine (whether that’s male or female, in another or within ourselves).
_
Nevertheless, that energy exchanged came with its aftermath. The following week my endo roared nice and loud bringing up so much around what it is to feel SAFE.
_
When an experience like this happens our sexual selves can feel suppressed and ashamed, almost as if we attracted that action, as if it were our fault. (FALSE BELIEF). However, this shuts down our sexual energy creating complexes that can damage our psyche and cause dis-ease within the body. Essentially, our biography becomes our biology.
_
In states of conflict, our energy field becomes one of resistance. It affects everything from our blood levels to our pH levels creating acidity within the body. That’s when inflammation occurs. This is our body’s reactive way to pump more blood around the body and to heal from dis-ease created. But this inflammation is fire. A fire that burns the house down. Cont’d👇🏼

  • on days where my pain & anxiety are at their most difficult to deal with, I look to days like this. A little self reminder that no matter the struggle-- there will be days I will smile like this again. #goalsaf to be my best self, not anyone else's. My smile is a measure of my strength.

My abusers hoped I would never smile again. The best form of revenge ̶i̶s̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶l̶i̶v̶e̶ ̶a̶ ̶g̶o̶o̶d̶ ̶l̶i̶f̶e̶,̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ smile in your haters faces. My favorite thing to say to those people? - "𝙮𝙤𝙪'𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙚."

Somebody needs to hear this-- to anyone feeling down, anxious, constant pain, oppressed, lost, stuck, at your end; the strength is in you to overcome, and you will get where you want to be-- keep pushing. Find a way. Whatever pace you need to.. Listen to yourself. Ask for help. Listen to your body. Absorb in the time you wait. Your mind & voice are more powerful than you think they are. You actually can do anything you set your mind to, it is not cliché - it is Power. Harness it.🌎💛
