・・・ @amanda_tye work celebrates the beautiful part of the world we live in. The coast and harbour that surrounds. Calming yet full of drama you immediately relate to the places she paints, taking you on a journey in your memory to a wonderful place and time.
Amanda is the artist in residence from 9-12 today. Pop by to chat about her art and practice.
Last day to see Tickled pink .
It's not meant to be conceptual art, yet the embodiment of the natural process of ceramics, Watanabe san said. It was literally an eye-opener to me when I interviewed these artists in 余韻 (yo-in) afterglow at Mr kitly Gallery curated by myself.
Watanabe’s ceramic practice is deeply connected to his thoughts on the natural world and it’s processes. The exceptional series he has created for 余韻 (yo-in) afterglow are all made from earth he gathered from sedimentary strata near his house, woodfired using wood from trees that grew in the same soil. “This process is finding beauty”. @watanabetakayuki_ ・

One of the outtakes from my shoot with Fareham MP Suella Braverman for the 209 Women project.
The @209women exhibition has now left Portcullis House and is being installed at @openeyegallery, opening 1st March. If you’re in Liverpool, head over to see the full exhibition of powerful portraits of female MP’s.
To mark 100 years since some women achieved the right to vote, we are taking over parliament with 204 new photographic portraits of all female MPs, shot exclusively by female photographers, and making it free and open to the public.
