👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️🐰 #clinicaveterinariasanpaolo #clinica_veterinaria_san_paolo #morethanaclinic #yourvet #torino #coniglio #dentistry #rabbit #exoticspecialist #lovemyjob

  • What happens when you have a dog that loves the squeaky toy and an African grey in the house?! Yup.....squeaker sounds from not just the toy! ;-). And while I am grateful and thankful for the years of mentorship during my residency for exotic species like birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, pot-bellied pigs, reptiles......there are things that I am knowledgeable on and capable of doing and then there are truly things left for the exotic specialists at places like @avianandexoticvets or @amcny This beautiful feathers beast is cared for by the wonderful vets at @avianandexoticvets! I get to simply enjoy his beauty! #exoticspecialist #birds #love #sweetheart #pitbull #bluenose #vetvisit

  • How easy I make it look to work with big birds ➡️ what it’s actually like! 🤣
.
But who couldn’t love these big babies?
Birds are my absolute favorite for so many reasons! They are soo intelligent, entertaining, but also a challenge!
So many people ask “How can I avoid being bit when working with big birds?” When it comes to working with these guys because they have SO much strength, it’s best to master reading bird body language! Mastering reading their body language helps you to realize when its time to give them “private time” or a “cool off” period!
Being bit is always a risk but one I will surely take 😁
