It was the perfect time of day. The mountains rose up in the west, haloed in the golden light of the setting sun. I couldn’t care less of the discord which was presently occurring in society. I grew tired of certain people’s power over me, and i wanted to escape the feeling of being bound to the rules of regulations of this world, the mountains were all that spoke to me now. The sunset reflected the good and bad in life; the light fighting against the darkness that’s trying to surround the earth with the various shades of its evilness. The last bit of darkness laid in the horizon and it was an illustration of how maddening and chaotic it would be if it was the last time for human beings to ever see another day of light. 🌞
Enjoying the beautifully warm sunshine on our hike down from the mountain top after a night of peaceful (though windy) camping.
Spring had very much arrived in the valley below as we saw or first bumblebee and butterfly out and about as we made our way down.
Last week we packed up our bags and headed North, to a beautiful mountain in the Snowdonia National Park. It was a nice change to the familiar scenery of the Brecon Beacons, and a good challenge hiking up the steep ascent with a fully packed bag.
The weather was beautifully clear, and perfect for landscape photography, but this adventure was more about just enjoying ourselves, switching off and having a good time.
