  • This weekend’s farmers’ market haul and a bit of bulk shopping. When we went plastic-free in 2011, we started eating more whole foods and we cut highly processed foods—the stuff in shiny plastic wrappers.

“The 1938 Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act imposed strict rules requiring that the word ‘imitation’ appear on any food that was, well, an imitation. Read today, the official rationale behind the imitation rule seems at once commonsensical and quaint ‘…there are certain traditional foods that everyone knows, such as bread, milk and cheese, and that when consumers buy these foods, they should get the foods they are expecting…[and] if a food resembles a standardized food but does not comply with the standard, that food must be labeled as an “imitation.” ’ Hard to argue with that…but the food industry did, strenuously for decades, and in 1973 finally succeeded in getting the imitation rule tossed out.”

Speaking of books on food and food politics, in my stories last week, I asked which book on these topics you would choose if you could choose only one. I’ve attached screen shots of some of your picks. A few books came up over and over. Swipe left to find a good read. If you have a book recommendation, please leave it in the comments.

Help. Not just anybody.
🙏🏼
Would you consider leaving a quick comment below to answer at least 1 of these questions?
🙏🏼
P.S. Anyone who comments will receive a complimentary copy of what I’m working on!
☝🏼Have you ever considered buying a rental property to make passive income but felt intimated, overwhelmed etc at the thought of the renting and managing process?
🤔
✌🏼have you ever owned and managed a rental yourself and had serious issues that kept you from continuing with it or acquiring more?
🤔
🤟🏼For my real estate friends...do you manage any properties and if not....why not?
🤔
Oh won’t you pleeeeease Please help me?
