Grateful today that a few years ago i FINALLY I got out of my own way, and embraced new experiences and ideas in my job as a trainer....In doing that, sometimes you can find something spectacular✨.

▪️I created a business where I do what I love everyday ▪️ I grew my clients from 3 people...to hundreds and hundreds of women
▪️ I have the opportunity lead and speak.
▪️ I am showing my boys what hard works looks like

And I’ve grown in so many ways as a wife & women I can’t count.....

So for all you mommas saying NO to new things....here’s a tip:

Before you say “NO” to new experiences.... be open, welcome it open arms and embrace the journey.... because new things can CHANGE YOUR LIFE.✨💕!!

  • So you can see the timeline. Up until this past summer I ate intuitively low carb and weight lifted. I lost 30 pounds doing that over a couple years and was happy. BUT, I always wondered why I couldn’t be leaner doing what I was doing. It was like I hit a plateau and couldn’t go any further

Enter macro counting in Aug 2018, the first time in my life I tracked food and followed any sort of meal plan. I was in caloric deficit and losing weight so quickly I had to start adding more calories after about 6 weeks in. I was in gym same amount of time as before (6 days a week) but also added 15-20 min of cardio prior weights
.

I continued to lose weight and up my numbers to find maintenance. You can see how lean I was up top in middle picture, but I lost everything I had in my butt and legs. I love this shreddy look, but it is not sustainable long term

I often get asked about losing weight in target areas, but there is nothing you can do about where weight falls off when you are in deficit. Of course we as women usually lose it from areas we prefer to keep it (booty & boobs)
.

So here I am today, not as lean as middle picture, but I believe a good balance. I eat about 2000 calories most days, but am not afraid to go over and I do many days. I am not trying to lose anymore weight. I have my legs and butt back and am happy with overall look. Hormones are all in check and I believe this is livable and sustainable while not feeling deprived. Not sure what my long term goals are as far as my look.
I’m happy where I am and just taking it day by day. I would still love to compete some day to prove to myself I can do it, but have not committed to any dates.

  • Self-confidence...they say it’s a super power. Once you start believing in yourself...magic happens. I say they’re right! Everything in my life changed when I stopped putting all of my self-worth in what other people thought of me and started working on what I thought of me.
I think I used to confuse self-confidence with self-centeredness. I held back, played small for fear of being perceived as selfish or self-centered. Who was that helping? No one! 
Self-confidence isn’t about a look at me mentality. It’s not about what other people see or think. It’s the exact opposite. It’s about who you see. What you believe about yourself regardless of what other people think. And it’s a necessary tool for success in life. 
Self-love...self-confidence...they aren’t selfish! We can only truly love and serve others once we’ve learned to love and believe in ourselves.

Today we worked the booty 🍑🍑. I could totally feel the muscles working, which means PROGRESS!!!! .
My preworkout (GoGo juice) had a new flavor launch today, fruit punch!!!! Can’t wait to try it! .

#Day37Faster was definitely a good workout. I managed to burn more calories than yesterday and I either surpassed or matched my best Transformers. I think it has been a success so far. 🤙🏽

I'm still staring at my #BOD app and giving Friday the evil eye. It's not that I can't do an hour long cardio sesh, it's just that I haven't done it in a while and I am hoping that 1) I don't tap out early from going too hard too early and 2) Bubba manages to stay occupied for an entire hour so that I don't have any distractions. 20 minutes is hard enough with a needy toddler. We shall see if the stars align for me on Friday.

  • This is the super fast workout I used while on a little trip I took this past weekend. I didn’t want to spend a ton of time working out but wanted to get a little something in and get the biggest bang for my 20 minutes.  This workout could be done with whatever weight you like to make it challenging, or soup cans or no weight at all... whatever level you’re at works!

  • #300swings Day 1. Decided to join another challenge to get me through this winter. The @chroniclesofstrength 300 swings per day sounded good. Started a week late for a myriad of reasons, but started nonetheless. 2-handed swings, #24kg. Went like this:
•15 swings/15 sec rest.
•20 swings/20 sec rest.
•25 swings/25 sec rest, and so on. Adding 5 each round up to 40 swings, then back down by 5, ending with 10 swings. Rest periods became longer than planned about halfway through as forearms fatigued. Otherwise, form stayed consistent and it felt great. #foundationmke #functionalfitness #fitover40 #imworkingout #generalphysicalpreparedness

  • Feeling discouraged all weekend as I missed my mom. She was my biggest fan. She was always proud of me and my accomplishments. Now, I’m not a lawyer or a doctor but she was proud of me nonetheless. She was proud of how I always got ahead and supported myself and rised above it all. I reminded myself of why I started this journey. I want to tell you that you don’t have to go at it alone. I have my amazing coach Lisa and my mentor Cara and 800 plus women that support me. Have questions, ask me? Wanna know what I’m doing, ask me? Don’t know where to start, ask me?
