You are almost there. God brought you till this stage and He will not leave you now. He helped you in the past and He will help you now as well. Just believe and praise the Lord.
What are the things that tend to take you off course and keep you from a single-minded devotion to the Lord? Is it whatever is in your past? Is it all that is happening in your life right now? Is it all the unknowns of tomorrow?
Invite the Spirit to renew and sharpen your focus again today on Jesus. Ask Him to help you to be someone who is keeping their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).
Prayer: God, I want to be useful to you for the kingdom of God. Help me to not be distracted or to lose focus on what is most important. Turn my gaze upward to you and away from anything that would hinder my effectiveness today. Amen.

I woke up this morning to an awesome verse of the day. We worship a powerful God who holds all that comes near in the palm of his hand. He doesn’t need your help, he needs your heart.

TGIF! This week flew by, but it’s always nice to get to that Friday feeling.
I’ve been throwing the idea around in my head about intermittent fasting a lot lately. About a year ago, per my brother’s suggestion, I signed up to get daily emails from an outspoken health, nutrition, and fitness enthusiast, P.D. Mangan of Rogue Health and Fitness. He often hits on controversial topics having to do with intermittent fasting, high protein and fat diets, and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts for exercise. He backs up all of his information with studies and I can’t help but think that he’s onto something. Most of what he writes just makes sense. Anyway, I’ve always been a huge proponent of doing self research since everyone’s body is different. I plan to try a few of his ideas out and I’ll report back to you guys. Have you ever tried intermittent fasting? Thoughts? What about HIIT workouts?
The past few mornings I’ve thought about skipping breakfast, but felt really hungry. I listened to my body and created this masterpiece which includes one of my new favorite breakfast items: @pedersonsfarms#whole30 breakfast sausage. It’s so dang good.

Not every session has to be soul crushing and physically taxing... although that’s ALOT of fun. 😂 the true key to success in fitness is longevity. You want to live to see the next battle. As always a key component to living to see the next battle is listening to your body. That is imperative.
After a few weeks of intense workouts my body was letting me know I needed a break so today I took it to my local gym for some recovery work.
Here I’m doing a scapula pull-up, concentrating on contracting the rhomboids (muscle closest to the spine) if you have “keyboard” posture I’d suggest these to straighten out. Be sure to lock out your elbows and retract your scaps when doing this movement. A brief hold at the top doesn’t hurt either.
Treat your body right and reap the rewards of a sound mind a body. 🧘🏽♂️

People live their lives based on how they see others living through social media. I grew up without it, so my goals and reality of what life is or “should” be like is a lot different. Life definitely isn’t perfect and I am fine with “good”. Sure there is always room for improvement but that’s the beauty of life. It has so much to offer. It’s pretty crazy to me how this wrap by @wrawp.foods is only made up of six ingredients, none that are grain or wheat which can bring a lot of carbs. One of the ingredients listed is 🌞turmeric🌞. Turmeric can be pretty strong and particular in flavor, but it doesn’t overpower in this recipe of a wrap. Some awesome things to note about turmeric is that it’s anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. Adding black pepper while having turmeric will help your body absorb those benefits even more. Can’t deny how awesome it is when something tastes good and does your body good!
