  • Hallmark may shower Valentine’s Day with chocolate boxes, lip glossed kisses and the letters L-O-V-E, but on a day like today, especially for those of you who may be feeling “unloved,” I encourage you to remember what *love* really is. Despite the outside noise, God is love, and if you’re looking for prince charming to sweep you off your feet, I encourage you to look to the Prince of Peace who carries your glass slipper (Ephesians 6:15). For the single girls or the broken-hearted, it’s encouraging to set your goal to fall in love with Jesus, and watch yourself ballroom dance with the one who paid it all. Bury your heart in Him who is Love and watch a different kind of fairytale be written about your story. Our goal? To be with someone who makes you love Jesus more, and in the meantime - prepare yourself by becoming someone who encourages others to love Him too. Be so close with the right Mr. Right - that the man of your life has to go to God to get to you 💓 | Q: Tag a friend and encourage her this week ❤️ Love you girls! #mydarlingdiary

  • Stop scavenging for love in all the wrong places. ❌
Stop fast-tracking what God meant to be a slow yet steady phase.
Stop trying to write a story that God wants to ink with grace.
•
Waiting can be difficult, but it is way better than having your heart shattered for rushing love.
•
The first love story ever recorded tells us a lesson: it was God who brought Adam and Eve to each other. ❤️🌸

  • Single Girls To-do List: ⭐️😍
1. It’s a really good idea to set boundaries with your phone this Valentine’s week!
2. Find one way way to treat yourself every day this week: a bubble bath, bake cookies, make a playlist, buy yourself something sweet - what makes you happy?
3. Talk to God more than you talk to your phone; the smartphone can be a toxic place and a disproportionate reality.
4. Find a friend who’s single this week and call her. Surrounding yourself with only "in-relationship" friends is a recipe for comparison and envy.
5. Dive into a really good book, podcast, or movie at night; don’t let your thoughts overcome your grounding!
6. Ask God what He wants to do with your singleness! You are reading the answer to my 4 year season (@my_darling_diary 💓)
7. Hobbies are underrated; I used to draw clothes when I was studying fashion. I recently just started back to doodling - it’s therapeutic for me!
8. Throw your hair back: live a little; laugh, smile. Don’t take yourself too seriously; no guy wants that.
9. Don’t force anything this week: God’s got you. A little less you’re in control and a little more He is.
10. End this week with a gratitude list. There’s a lot to be thankful for, sweethearts!
💋 ⭐️ Q: Regardless of singleness status - help your sistas out and share some of your ideas for being kind to yourself this week! Comment below 💓🤗👇🏼xo

  • What is good or what feels good isn’t always God’s BEST for me. His best for me & for you is that we know Him, first & foremost — & He will go to great, like the greatesttt, lengths to get us there. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s been a chapter of pulling back & pressing in for me (hence being MIA). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Let’s talk about : HEART. CHECKS.
Goodness, how quickly we get caught in the riptide of going through the motions only to recognize how much time has gone by & how stuck we (still) feel. Let’s never allow ourselves to get to a place where we think we’ve fully arrived, there is ALWAYS more learning & growing to do. We have to adjust our focus daily...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“When I fix my eyes on what is fleeting, I will live an unfulfilled life. When I fix my eyes on what is eternal, I will live an abundant life.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All of that to say, (ultimately) my heart for you, no matter who you are, is that you know Him better because that is His heart for you. It is not perfection or performance. It is not for you to know my name or to gain the next 100 or 1000 followers. The role I’ve tried to fill in this space has (at times) been unrealistic & empty. My heart is not to be the next best blogger, writer, stylist, speaker, event host, or even average girl. My heart is to be the Madison Joy that God has called me to be...it’s to grow in Him daily & step wholeheartedly into all He has called me to do — big & small, no matter the cost. I absolutely hope & pray w/ all of my heart that through me doing so you will be encouraged & inspired, but most of all, pointed back to HIM. It’s just not about me, without Him I promise I am not worth following at all. I’ve arrived at the conclusion that we have enough people diligently following other people, we need more people diligently following Jesus. THAT, my friends, will change the 🌎. It’s GO time.

  • ✨Monday-itis Cure ✨ ⁣
⁣
Mondays get me. Every single time. After a full week, then a packed weekend with friends, family and church - it just seems like Mondays are the hardest day of the week. ⁣
⁣
But God’s Grace is sufficient - and with the help of some coffee, and a WHOLE lot of Jesus, it becomes totally do-able. ⁣
⁣
We are so grateful that because of Jesus, we have access to energy, strength, encouragement and power from the Holy Spirit. ⁣
⁣
So let’s do this! With our coffee poured, hearts open and bibles ready! ⁣
⁣
Also, this fun print will be available through the website tonight (along with a couple of other new additions!)✨

  • "Good teachers make it possible for people to change their position without shame." -Rosaria Champagne Butterfield, The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert
.
One of my favourite qualities to see and strive for is teachability. But what I've realised recently is that the ability to be teachable is not just a benign personality trait; it's a product of good teaching.
.
If any teaching, Christian or otherwise, has made you embarrassed at the thought of changing your mind, it wasn't good teaching. Because good teaching is safe. It reminds us that there is never shame in increasing in knowledge, that we sell ourselves short when we act as if we have nothing new to learn. But Biblical teaching goes even further. Above and beyond allowing us to increase in knowledge free of shame or embarrassment, Biblical teaching shows us the joy of repentance.
.
The joy of repentance may seem like an oxymoron. But truly good, Biblical teaching shows us that repentance is not a burden to be feared with bowed heads and flushed cheeks and clenched fists; it is a joy to be embraced. Because repentance means that we have learned more; we have increased in knowledge and wisdom of the Lord, and this is a joyous thing. And this teaching is a reflection of Jesus, who is always gracious and merciful, who invites us to take up a light burden and an easy yolk, who challenges the status quo in favour of justice, and who never declares us shameful because of our lack and limits.
.
The more I reflect on what I want this little platform to achieve, whether it's for 400 people or 4000, the more I see that I want a space for people to feel safe to grow. I want to encourage, but also to convict. To be tender, but also to challenge. To embrace the teachability within each of us by creating a space where we can change our positions and increase in knowledge without shame.
.
Tell me, who is one teacher who has made you feel joyful in repentance?

  • Remember, mama, we are just broken humans raising broken humans. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As you start a new week, keep this knowledge at the forefront of your mind, recognizing the depth of your inadequacy as a broken human. If you feel this heaviness, this anxiety of “I can’t do this” and the week has just begun, it’s okay! Because you’re right. YOU can’t do it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Only HE can.
HE makes our brokenness whole.
HE equips us for the work, thereby eliminating our inadequacy.
HE replaces our fear and anxiety with overwhelming peace. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Lean in to his presence, his power, and his provision.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Be gentle with yourself, broken human. There is room at the table for you.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And be gentle with your children, for they are broken humans too. They are still stumbling, learning, growing, too.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There is room for them at the table as well. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Let us be found faithful to take them by the hand and guide them there, to the Bread of Life.

  • I’m so thankful for a God whose filled with so much abundance of faith, forgiveness and grace. He fills us up when our cup is low and let’s us overflow into others when we get full. He knows when we need to let things go and receive peace in our hearts. He’s so rich in love it’s astounding.

  • The narrative ran like this: You are not enough.
.
You’re not thin enough.
You’re not graceful in speech.
You’re too loud.
You yell at your kids sometimes.
You can’t keep up with your own life.
So how could you add more?
You aren’t stable enough.
You aren’t calm enough.
You’re an addict in recovery.
You haven’t loved God long enough.
You don’t know enough.
You aren’t educated enough.
.
HUSH.
.
“For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭1:10‬
.
When I’m doing life for man (any man— myself most of all) I am looking to prove something so I’m always weighed down by the striving.
.
When I’m doing life for GOD I KNOW I’m not enough but He is. He took all the broken pieces and scooped me up and called me enough to die. Enough to love. Enough to be His child. Enough to dine at His table. Enough to tell all the world about Him working in His Kingdom.
.
AMEN?!
.
This God perspective changes everything!
.
“Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not “mine,” but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I am not going to go back on that.” Galatians 2:20
.
Are you tired of the heavy feeling pushing on your chest of “NOT ENOUGH!” Are you tired of being unimpressive especially to yourself?
.
Do you remember you ARE ENOUGH?
You ARE LOVED?
.
Stamp it on your heart, sisters, and take it into this new week.
.
I’m enough.
I’m enough.
I’m enough.
.
Drop a 👊🏼 if you’re with me in remembering this and tag a sister who needs to KNOW she is ENOUGH.

  • One of my favorite things to do is listen to podcasts while I walk. I heard this today on the @typologypodcast and it stopped me in my tracks. ⁣
⁣
“There’s nothing I can do today to make God love me more. And there’s nothing I can do today that will make him love me less.”⁣
⁣
Just what my enneagram 3 heart needed to hear. 🙌🏻👏🏻 but ever know something is true and you still have a hard time believing it?? Need to remind myself of this so often. That feeling I always need to be hustling or doing something kicks in. Maybe you’re like me and feel this kind of love is earned and you have to work overtime for it. Nope. Not how God works. Soo grateful for this. ❤️

  • 👉🏼Free Group Alert👈🏼 Is your weight loss journey like a rollercoaster? 🎢

Are you eating healthy one minute only to find yourself binge eating the next? Are you waking up with good intentions to make better choices but then find yourself ending your night with ice-cream?
If you are saying YES then it's time to hop off and join us for our 3/in/1 💰FREE💰 30 day challenge. 👉🏼Yes! I said FREE

Getting fit is more than just your physical appearance. It begins inward with your SPIRIT and SOUL. If your spirit and your soul is not healthy then you will struggle with your physical health.
You must address all 3 areas -SPIRIT, SOUL, and BODY when you are wanting to get healthy.
Here's what to expect: Starts March 1st
❇️Week 1- Lessons geared for Spiritual health by Sarah Morgan @thehillofzion ❇️Week 2- Lessons geared for the Soul (emotions) by Sarah. ❇️Week 3- Lessons on nutrition and exercise by me 🙋🏻‍♀️.
❇️Week 4- Start implementing the 3/in/1 lifestyle that will take you to your Faith Ignited Transformation.

Here is my sister, @thehillofzion testimony. "Going into this year I made a declaration that I was going to be healthy spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

I’m making a point each day to feed myself spiritually, make better choices with my food (it truly is a mindset), and now including exercise.

This has not been an overnight transformation...it started 5 years ago with me needing to first heal spiritually...that led to a long road of emotional healing...and now I’m here working on my health and fitness.

Not for anyone else but ME!

However, until I got spiritually and emotionally fit, I could not work on the physical being on me!

God created us mind, body, spirit.

Spirit man being most important, then our mind set, than our body." 🙌🏻All you gotta do is drop your fav emoji, or DM me and I will send you an invite to the group!

  • Who thinks this is freeing?! •
•
•How beautiful to know that God can work through me, despite my limitations. In fact, he CHOOSES ME, he calls me, though he’s fully 100% aware of my shortcomings. •
•
Recently I won this little devotional in a giveaway (swipe right) and I loved this important take away. •
•
In “Waiting on the Lord,” @lightfilledhome breaks down the story of Moses and how he is a great example of this—
•
•
Remember Moses? So insecure. But God raised him up. God gave him power. God gave him purpose. •
•
And thank goodness Moses said yes to God, chose to follow, and obey!! •
•
Following Moses example today in my heart. #righteousnessrising 🙌❤️

  • Let your roots grow down into Him and draw up nourishment from Him.
See that you go on growing in the Lord, and become strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught.
Let your lives overflow with joy and thanksgiving for all he has done. { Colossians 2:7 }

  • A prayer for you tonight: Sweet friend, if life is crazy right now, I’m praying that God gives you rest. If life is in transition right now, I’m praying that He brings you peace. If life is hard right now, I’m praying He brings you comfort. And above it all, I’m praying that you can feel His love for you these days more than you ever have before.
