ALDI CART HAUL: My weekend got away from me so I did my grocery shopping last night! I got all of this from @aldiusa for only $46.37! Here’s what I’m going to do with it: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•Chicken + salsa + taco seasoning in the crockpot for tacos one night and top a salad with the other. 🌮🥗
•Ground beef for burgers. Going bunless on these and topping them with cheese, sautéed onions, and avocado 🧀🥑
•Perfect Bars, bananas, Greek yogurt, mini peppers, and oranges for snacks. 🍌🍊
•Tuna and chicken for tuna salad and chicken salad for lunches. 🐟🍗
•And a whole bunch of veggies to roast to pair with meals! 🥦🥕
What do you do when you’re too busy to grocery shop? I’ve been using instacart lately and it’s kind of awesome.
Yes there’s a $5.99 delivery fee on top of groceries, but if having them delivered means saving an hour (and not dragging my ass to the store in the cold) it’s worth it to me once in awhile. I can’t say I want to use instacart for every trip but in a pinch like today, it’s a godsend.
My mom used to use Fresh Direct and I reallllly hated it because of all the waste. The food would come in tons of boxes and unnecessary plastic packaging. At least with instacart you can tell them not to use a ton of plastic bags (which is what I do, I learned the hard way as some of you may have seen on my live from a few weeks ago).
Today I’m catching up from a weekend “off” and I had to focus on answering emails and stuff so grocery delivery was the smartest move!
Can’t wait to hear your tips, suggestions and how you handle grocery shopping when you’re super busy below!

Brainstorming options for breakfast, lunch and dinner next week!
I do our grocery shopping on Monday mornings each week so I try to get everything planned and written into the grocery list/budget by Sunday. I like to come up with 8 options. That gives us a different meal choice each day of the week plus an extra alternative option just in case we end up not wanting what was planned or we run out of an ingredient for something else.
I cannot begin to tell you how much we’ve saved over the last 17 months by having a grocery budget (ours is $150 a week for a family of 4) and really trying to stick to it! Some weeks are better than others but even when we overspend I still feel so good knowing we have the groceries to make what we planned to eat and I don’t have to search the pantry/fridge at night or bring home expensive takeout. For those of you who are new to the budget life and aren’t budgeting for groceries or meal planning: try it for a month and I bet you’ll be absolutely shocked! #groceryshopping#groceryplanning#grocerylist#mealplanning#cookathome#eatathome#grocerybudget#onabudget#budgeting#savingmoney#sticktothelist#debtfreejourney#debtfreecommunity#gettingoutofdebt#cashisking#cashbudget#personalfinance
