If you have the opportunity to visit this incredible palace, I would suggest setting aside at least a half day to view as much of the palace grounds as possible. In addition to viewing the palace, you can check out several halls, pavilions, gardens, and museums all within palace grounds. -
Helpful tips: - There is a package deal you can purchase to enter Gyeongbokgung Palace as well as several other nearby gardens and palaces. If you purchase this package deal, keep in mind that some palaces and temples are closed on specific days (usually Monday or Tuesday). Plan accordingly. Trying to view everything within the package deal is not a one-day adventure. I would stretch it out to at least two days to be able to fully enjoy your sight seeing. The package deal is only 10,000 won (about $9 USD). - Don’t miss the Changing of the Guard ceremony which takes place at the top of every hour from 11:00 to 15:00 at the main palace entrance. -
