Been adding in cardio at the beginning of my workouts lately and I’m honestly loving the change, I always used to do it at the end of my workout (or not at all hehe) but I needed something different and to spice things up because doing the same thing at the gym is boring I feel, always have to keep things spicy and exciting 🌶🌶 HIIT and cardio have been a big priority of mine in the gym lately, also I’m starting to think the winter fluff and snackaroonis are getting to me lmao 😂I’m extremely excited to start seeing some change 💪🏽 don’t be afraid to spicy things up and get out of your comfort zone!!! These things are very easy to do, and just as easy not to do. .

There are going to be countless times where you feel like shit and run down and you just won’t go. Those are the workouts that make the difference. Both mentally and physically. You’ll think to yourself “missing a couple days this week wont make a difference.” (I think the same thoughts) And then you make the same decision the following week and the following. .

There seems to be a common misconception that when you are injured the best thing to do is "nothing." However, nothing is the worst thing you can do in order to heal an injury. An injured animal doesn't stay stagnate unless it's incapable of moving. It finds ways to keep moving. Movement is life.

Depending on the severity of the injury, the best thing you can do is "move." During a rehabilitation process the objective isnt to rest, the objective is to program an activity level appropiate for recovery and growth without stressing the injured are too much.

I am currently suffering from a knee injury and it is no coincidence that my knee feels better after I spend an hour moving with purpose. The difference is I am aware of my injury and know there will be limitations to my movements. Ideal movements for my current state would be anything that is low impact for my knee such as an Assault Bike. It is a movement that isnt weight bearing and helps put my knee through full ROM while exercising the surrounding muscle groups to bring new oxygen and blood to the injured joint.

The next time you are injured dont use that as excuse not to move. Get your injury evaluated properly and find ways to move to speed up the recovery process.
