Happy Friday!! I think I had the best upper body workout that I’ve ever had last night😂 I usually spend about 45 minutes to an hour & 15 mins on my leg days, and last night I was almost at the gym for two hours working on shoulders and back😳 my arms felt like noodles after, in the best way possible! I tried out a push/pull/legs split with lifts this week and I really loved it. The only issue is, I get tempted to workout my favorite areas in the same session (back and shoulders) which kind of mixes pushes and pulls, leaving me confused about what to do the next day. I think next week I’m going to try and write down everything I’m doing for the day so I won’t be tempted to just start working out my favorite areas😬 Today I’m taking a rest day because I need to study and I have a midterm to take, woo hooo😂🥳 Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Such a great workout! I was so sore. Really tried to increase weight than I would usually do. Push yourself. Add more weight. Try something new. Get uncomfortable. You’re evolving, thriving, and growing. LETS GOOO. .

- Concentration curls - Triceps dips (Didn’t film everything but this was the entire workout) 💓💓💓

So, we’ve all been there. We walk into the gym all worked up and confident. We made the commitment to better our health, appearance, ego, whatever - and we get in front of the weights, machines, turf and.....nothing happens. We absolutely have no idea what we are doing. 😱
So we look around to find out what others are doing. We do a little shoulders, or what we think of shoulders, then we go on the tread mill for 3 mins, grab our towels, and wipe our face. The we realize we’ve been working out for only 7 minutes so far.
Everything we’ve worked up to and everyone hyped us up about has gone completely down the toilet. 🚽 .
So how do we fix this. By surrounding yourself with people who are in the same situation and want to learn together.
Instead of being that 7 minute gym warrior we become a team member of a group of people who can make a difference in each other Gym life.

I always have trouble finding a “before” pic for these side-by-sides. Just one year ago, cameras were the enemy. I couldn’t stand looking at pictures of myself. But eventually, looking at those pictures became just the kick in the pants that I needed.
Changing lifelong habits is hard. Refusing to buy into the lies of the food/weight loss industry is hard.
🛑 BUT 🛑 The self-discipline, the sacrifices, the hard work, it pays off. And you can learn to love your body along the way 💙
