  • | OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES | GLUTEN-FREE & DAIRY-FREE There’s nothing quite like a classic oatmeal raisin cookie–except maybe knowing it’s made only of clean ingredients! This recipe produces delicious cookies that will fill your kitchen with heavenly scent while baking. These cookies make a great addition to children’s lunchboxes or simply to have on hand when the craving strikes.
_
Raisins can easily be ignored or forgotten, but they actually offer wonderful health benefits and in fact offer greater nutritional might than the goji berry, which is touted as a superfood. Raisins can vary in size and color depending on which type of grape is used. Grapes have a lengthy list of health benefits and can be particularly beneficial when it comes to battling The Unforgiving Four. They possess strong antiviral properties and can help in the removal of radiation from the body. They also work to remove DDT and toxic heavy metals from the liver thanks to the collaborative efforts of their amino acids and anthocyanins.
_
Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
_
Ingredients:
2 tbsp ground golden flax seeds
6 tbsp water
1 1/2 cups gluten-free rolled oats
1 cup gluten-free oat flour
2 tbsp coconut sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tso baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 cup coconut or avocado oil
1/3 cup maple syrup
1 tsp alcohol-free vanilla extract
3/4 cup organic raisins
_
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Mix together the ground flax seeds and water to make the flax egg. Leave to soak for 15 minutes.
_
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the oats, oat flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and sea salt. Mix until uniform. In another bowl, whisk together the coconut or avocado oil, maple syrup, vanilla and flax egg. Add to the dry ingredients and stir until you get a uniform batter. Stir in the raisins.
_
Using a large cookie scoop, scoop the mixture and drop onto the parchment paper. Flatten into round disks using a fork. Place in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, until slightly browned. Remove from the oven and cool.

  • Take a moment to stop what you're doing and really think about the following statement 👉 Everything you see is the divine expressing itself in various forms.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is a truth that our beloved co-founder of the Chopra Center, Dr. David Simon, knew with every fiber of his being. He had on what we like to call "divine goggles," which allowed him to see past the trappings of economic status, profession, race, gender, and all other surface roles to the divine spark that lives within everyone and everything. Because the entire world is the same consciousness that has chosen to playfully experience itself as the myriad of creation. The entire world is god in drag. ❤
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Try this exercise to put on your divine goggles:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💠 Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and place your attention on your heart center.
💠 Say to yourself, "The universe chose to embody as me."
💠 Bring to mind someone you love dearly. Realize deeply they are also the same divine consciousness embodied.
💠 Now think about someone with whom you have a difficult relationship. As hard as it may seem, try to see past their perceived shortcomings to catch a glimmer of their divine nature. It may help to think of them as a baby, pure and innocent before the world imposed itself on them.
💠 Remember that feeling irritation towards them has no real effect on them – it only harms you.
💠 When you feel ready, take a few deep breaths and open your eyes.

  • How does being with someone that’s emotionally triggered feel for you? Do you embrace it as an opportunity for greater connection and lean in? Do you tighten up inside and withdraw? Do you feel angry yourself? Do go into pleasing mode or fixing mode and try and change how the person is feeling? Based on how we experienced conflict as children we can have a variety of coping mechanisms. Which ones truly serve you though? I was reminded of my own journey this week during a talk I was doing on Intimacy. Several times through my presentation a women became triggered by what I was sharing and shared with me a range of things from my talk being a waste of her time, me not knowing what I was talking about, my process being wrong and more. When I was younger I would have shrivelled up inside, taken it very personally, would have reduced my value of myself and I would have tried to solve or fix the situation. Instead I leaned in, heard her, acknowledged her feelings and moved forward in my presentation. At the end of the talk many of the women attending came to talk to me. They weren’t sure what they experienced between us and were curious and confused. This women had been “angry” and “rude” and yet at the end “supportive” and “happy” and what had happened?!? They talked about how they felt triggered by her outbursts and shared how hard being around someone like that is. They wanted to know why and how her energy shifted so much towards the end. What had happened was intimacy! She expressed herself and I heard her, saw her and leaned into her with loving curiosity. I asked questions so I could understand her and than gave appreciation to her for sharing her viewpoint. I didn’t take it personally. We did this several times and then during one of the last times the deeper parts of her triggering surfaced organically and she talked about how hard trust is and some family dynamics. Nothing happened to bring her into her own awakening then to be heard, and seen and understood with compassion. Intimacy is healing. The more we can master intimacy with ourselves and others the more harmony and love we can create in our lives. #triggering #compassion #healing #powerful #selflove
