The older I get, there is a sense of more acceptance of all parts of me . I am ok with my sensitivity and feel much more comfortable expressing my anxiety rather than holding it together, as well as allowing my spontaneous expressions, which at times can be “very British” and unknowingly offend some 🤦🏽♀️. I used to be so self-conscious in the many British aspects of mine that I lost sight of the “good”. Now, most days I can laugh it off, and interestingly, the people I tend to interact and attract in my life are those that can laugh with me instead and speak their truth as well, and we laugh on the occasions where we put our foot in our mouths together. I believe no one really intends to do harm to others, and the people I surround with tend to resonate and thrives from that space of openness to others and how they are too. Also, why spend too much time on being self-conscious when in reality most people are interested in what’s going on with themselves anyway 🤷🏽♀️ it feels so freeing to be completely ok with all that is you.

Charcoal Mineral Mask - Organic calendula and rose flowers were infused in castor oil for 4 weeks, creating a balancing oil for oily skins that is also healing and soothing. Then, fresh aloe vera gel was harvested from the plant and blended. Then I chose Activated Charcoal for its detoxification, Diatomaceous Earth for its mineral content (mainly silica for skin healing), and Australian green clay for purification. Essential oils in this batch include Turmeric, Lavender, Cedarwood, Mandarin & Rose - again lots of purification, oil balancing and healing and all-round smelling amazing, because using something that SMELLS amazing helps you heal and frankly there is more to oily skin than tea tree!

The design and craftsmanship of this magnificent Buddha sculpture of “Phra Buddha Chao Yai" is from the skilful hands of Phra Bhawanawisutthisobhon or Chao Khun Surasak for the historical anniversary celebration of Wat Pradoo Royal Temple (Phra Aram Luang) in BE.2561 “Phra Buddha Chao Yai" (translated to English as: The Great Lord Buddha) is the principal Buddha image of Wat Pradoo Royal Temple (Phra Aram Luang) and was enshrined in the Main Chapel (Phra Ubosot) on an auspicious occasion.
The former name of this Buddha image is "Somdet Phra Phutta Chin Singh Barami Saen" which refers Sakyamuni Buddha King of Kings like Lion amidst all beings; The Buddha is known as the "Lion of the Sakya" (Sakya is the name of his clan) and is often depicted seated on a lion throne.
“Parami Saen" means "Hundred-thousands in Perfections"
I don't think I can ever say it enough: my students are amazing! Y'all are the reason I keep doing this work; you make it all worthwhile 💚
Bark Eaters, the second annual class for @bloodandspicebush and me, has become a student favorite. Today we focused on the barks of pine (vitamin C packed with a long history of edibility), birch (analgesic and anti-inflammatory), and cherry (for cough relief). Everyone was a trooper, not complaining about the cold rain. Thanks so much for all your support and @beerrunneraudra for the sweet words and gorgeous pics!
Reposted from @beerrunneraudra - #MotherEarth provides us so many options for natural #medicine . Today's class on edible and medicinal barks taught by @bloodandspicebush and @thewanderschool was outstanding. We foraged, harvested, and made our own medicinal #oxymel . Mine has Virginia pine needles, birch, and cherry. The rain didn't stop us from sharing in each other's journey.
