  • Continuing an epic road trip through California ❤️ Halfway between Yosemite and Joshua Tree—and minutes into Sequoia National Park—the mining town of Kernville, CA is a total blast to the past with tons of midcentury motels like this one.

  • This guy is pure fun ✨ #pikas are lagomorphs, like rabbits- not a rodent. They live in high elevation rocky slopes in Western North America and are so perfectly colored to match the rock they are rarely seen. Their alarm call is a high, penetrating “eek!” -easy to hear, but hard to pinpoint as the sound bounces off rocks and boulders. They don’t hibernate, but instead collect grasses and flowers all through the temperate months to sustain them through the winter. Hikers are most likely to see pikas in May and June during the breeding season 🌟 #wip #charcoaldrawing #highdesert #highdesertmuseum

  • One place that I recommend you travel to this year? Joshua Tree. The High Desert of California is unlike anywhere I’ve ever been. Filled with endless amounts of character, tasty food & dazzling desert landscapes, this is one spot that you have to see🌄 My full blog post on Places to Discover in 2019 is coming next week!

  • The Reason ...
.
There’s a reason why we never get tired of beauty. There’s a reason why we stop everything to watch the sunset, why we take pictures, why we scroll longingly through the pictures of others - wishing we had been there. Beauty stirs something in us that even the most articulate among us can only convey with the feeblest phrases, yet we instinctively know it when we see it .
.
We were made for beauty, and beauty was made for us .
.
God has placed the spark of eternity - the hope of glory - in every human heart, and He has filled the earth with signs, with glory, with grace upon grace ... all calling us home to Him.
