  • 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 You may not know this, but I was raised in an entrepreneurial family. My dad grew up as a poor preacher's kid, but always had big dreams. He but worked his way up through creating his own businesses until he was really successful, even while supporting five kids. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💅🏻 And so maybe it's in my blood, but I think there is a part of me that always had a drive to work and make money! I started working super young, first with as a babysitter and housekeeper, then in retail, where I eventually worked my way into property management, before I was offered what I thought was my dream job as the director of a large day spa.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
😔 Unfortunately, my attempts with the day spa didn't go well. It was a huge defeat that left me frustrated and bitter. In hindsight, though, that experience made starting my own business easier because it taught me to think about failure, mistakes, and running a business in a whole new way! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
📏 In fact, what it taught me 5 valuable rules that I still follow today. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✔️There are no mistakes, only lessons.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✔️It’s not personal, it’s business.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✔️No one else knows what they’re doing either.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✔️Look for a role model, not a rescuer.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✔️Just start!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
