📸Mezquita de Ibn Tulun. Aunque no suele estar dentro de las visitas guiadas típicas de El Cairo, yo tenía claro que no quería irme de Egipto sin verla. Pedí al guía de nuestro grupo incluirla en la ruta y aceptó sin problema.

Data del siglo IX y es la mezquita más antigua de la ciudad. Mantiene su estructura original, lo que le otorga un encanto especial por los materiales empleados, sus dimensiones, y las formas arquitectónicas de influencia oriental.
Es curioso cómo en el interior de su patio se respira una tranquilidad difícil de sentir en la caótica ciudad de El Cairo, sin apenas locales y olvidada por los grupos turísticos.
